Thinking of playing 2007 how much better is it than rs3?

I've quit playing RS3 for sometime now. I have a level 136 acc, other than maxing out all my skills there wasnt much to do, all my friends quit playing in game and out of game, so I've moved on to other games Dota2, ff16, Mainly but I still miss the scape. Is 07 harder/more challenging? Better community? Economy? Im just curious, I was thinking about playing but I dont wanna start from 3 so I'll will more than likely get a acc on here or maybe make a pure myself and not go down the Main Acc road.

 

I came back to RS to play 07 Scape 3 months ago. And I must say that it is a lot of fun. atm I have a g-maul pure and a ranged tanker.
I still enjoy playing Oldschool today, and don't regret coming back to play the game.

I would start a fresh account on Oldschool and lvl it up for yourself. It would suck if the account you bought suddenly gets recovered after 2 years, because the seller felt like it. Ok you won't be lvl 126 instantly, but atleast no one can take it away from you.

 

I actually advise you to start all over again. That's what made it so much fun for me. Doing all the low level stuff is really fun if it's been 5+ years since you've done it.

 

If your a leveling/skill'ing guy i too advise you to start again, but if you want a pure/zerker to pk with than go for it

 

2007scape is way better Economy and Training is much easier now}

 

2007 is really good. Only reason I didn't put 100% into it was because of the grind, just was never for me. Will be getting my account maxed out soon thought

 

Tbh if u like to pvm skilling etc eoc is better imo. 07 is way better if it comes to pk

 

07 is great for staking, pking, and just better in general (imo). It's a game shaped by the players (due to the polling system). I agree with everyone in here that it's much more fun if you just start again from scratch.

 

I recently started playing OSRS again and I enjoy it! In my opinion I think there is a better community on 2007 and its just the nostalgia that keeps bringing you back!

 

Yeah I think i'll start fresh, been reading all the past updates, realy neat player chosen content.

 

07 Is absolutely sick mate, i'm not a huge fan of RS3 i find that OSRS is much more user friendly and has that fantastic nostalgic feel about it. Cant fault it! also it gets constant polled updates to prevent it from being turned back into pre eoc etc, alot of effort has gone into it, well worth a play.

Seems like most Sythe users -including myself- will be leaning towards 07 scape though. EOC isnt the game we all know and love. Its a completely different game than what we grew up playing.

 

Yeah for real, I guess its a nostalgia thing. I was so hooked on it back then in the 2007 era, picking flax and shit I was green as hell LOL I will say I loved 2010-11 rs3 but after 2012 nahhh I'll pass. I decided to quit RS3 all together so I posted my accounts on here. It just got to boring for me EOC pking is alright I mean its how most modern mmo's are nowadays but the simplicity of OSRS combat is what I love its truly a one of a kind game.

 

It all comes down to personal preference, it's a great game though.

I'd only continue on RS3 if you like PVM/Questing. Pretty much everything else is much better in OSRS.

 

Million times better and I'm maxed on RS3 so let me tell you the community is much better and less beggars imo.

 

I like RS3 still but it's more confusing than OSRS is. OSRS is what I'm kind of used to when I used to play RuneScape actively back in time, why not give it a shot? There's no harm in trying.

 

07 is way better, it has more players and overall has a better community.
