I'm still in school

I work as a loan processor for a very large bank. You'd think I got paid well when I say "very large bank" but the ceo referred to my whole department as slaves at our last office party. I'd love to figure out something to do working for myself. If I could work for myself I would put 60-70 hours a week into my business no problem. I just don't have any good ideas and where I'm at, it's the fast food capital of the nation, so nothing but fast food and shitty restaurants.

 

Currently run and manage a pub/bistro.

 

Apprentice electrician, going to be returning to school soon for my 2nd and 3rd year of training. Pays pretty good, but the work can be pretty tough, physically speaking.

 

Still a HS student, but I'm looking to take business administration or international business as a major once I enter university.

Head manager (Gm for you muricans) for a quick service restaurant.

My owner is looking to expand more restaurant options in which care I become an operations consultant who is in charge of multiple stores overseeing the gm's

 

Isn't that basically a Regional Manager position?.. very nice.

Kind of. Regional manager is for a specific area for larger companies AFAIK.


So like if I was overseeing all stores in South Alberta. But seeing as this will be a smaller area and much smaller amount of stores it's an operations or business consultant.

 

Why are you so ashamed of where you work that you never actually tell people; you always try to tiptoe around the fact that it's a "fast food" restaurant. lmao wtf is "quick service"... jesus people just give you shit because you won't accept it, for once just tell people you work at a Burger King

 

Yet here I am, voluntarily posting on a "what is your career?" thread telling people what I do for work.

Where do you think the slang "fast food" comes from? Everyone within the industry knows the technical term is a quick service restaurant.


Maybe you should look up this stuff before you post in a way that attempts to belittle me, that way you wont seem uneducated when you post.
