wifi issues on pc

on the picture above ussualy people have both ethernet and wifi but mine does not have wifi and i think this is why its not allowing me to connect my phones hotspot to the computer because of this if anyone has solutions plz comment below.

 

Is this a laptop? If your using a desktop most likely you don't have a wifi adapter.

Did you build this PC? If not, post the brand and model of your computer.

If this is a laptop you must not have drivers installed

 

it is on a computer my brother built the pc but his not sure if he added it or not.

If you don't have a wifi adapter installed into your pc, then it wont automatically connect to wifi.

As an alternate method use a wifi USB adapter, should come with a small disk which you use to install the software.

I just did this on my pc now, put in the wifi usb adapter into usb port, then put in the disk, install software, the one I'm using is RaLink. Then I just connected to my phone hotspot.

 

As others have said, your motherboard does not have built in WiFi and you do not have a WiFi adapter installed. You can either buy a pci-e or a USB adaptor if you're needing to utilize WiFi.

Seeing as you're using Windows 10, you may not even need to use the disk that comes with the adaptor to get it working, but I'd recommend searching online for the most up to date drivers for the device whether you use the disk or not.
