I've fortunately never had a root canal, but it sounds like you're used to then OP. That sucks, hope the pains not too bad and you can eat good food again soon. I've been putting off getting an impacted wisdom tooth removed for some time now, the bastard grew in sideways and is encased entirely in bone. Its not growing anymore or moving so I may not get it removed, the procedure would be costly even with insurance. Not only that but a nasty painful procedure apparently due to being encased in bone.

 

Move to the UK thats what the rest of the world seem to be doing. It's nothing to do with the free health care bro.

 

I have had 3 done but thank god it was my front teeth so the procedure didn't really annoy me much

I used to not take very good of my teeth until I had to pay my first dentist bill.

 

My first root canal (With ok insurance) was $1100. 2nd was $800.This one so far with VERY GOOD insurance since i got a new job has cost me a whopping $50.

Honestly. Going to the dentist today was a real eye opener, i'm cutting out soda immediately. He told me if i continue to drink as much soda as i do that i'm going to lose one of my front teeth. NO WAY i'm going to let that happen
