Hi there

Basically, back in July/August I sold a Comp cape account that I had previously bought. I sold it due to needing to focus on exams, and I felt that I was playing too much so I sold the account. After that, I never went on Sythe again logged in, apart from in September. This was due to me losing my password, and I kept trying to send requests to reset it with no luck, also got no luck with email reset, no longer get emails from Sythe anymore.
Anyway, to the point, I quit Sythe and runescape after selling my account. I then had no need to use skype, so never really logged on. When I upgraded my computer to windows 10, it must have been a couple months since I had logged in at least, probably more.

The only reason I went to log on today: 29/04/16 was because I needed to talk to an IRL mate about an anonymous email writer website he used, as I was planning to pull a prank on my school for the end of year and he had used one previously that actually worked. As I logged in I got bombarded with all these messages. This is the same with sythe, quit runescape so never really checked into sythe, also couldn’t get into my account as said later on.

From then I knew shit was up, and read them all. Basically, on the 6th and 7th of April my skype: oliver.bolton4 was hacked. I don’t know how, but it was. The hacker sent many messages to people asking to buy gold, here is an example:

As you can see here it’s the classic “forgot 2FA but I have my skype”
Only problem is I also cannot remember the password to my account, however, I know my 2FA and the contact number which I can help to verify.
There are many of these PM’s, generally not many people fell for it but one guy who had just made account lost 6.6M seasonal deadman stuff to him (been out of the loop, means nothing to me, worth 60M 07 though). When I saw this I actually called him up on skype and explained what had happened and talked to him, and also apologised for the inconvenience caused. I also had a rather lengthy chat with blupig explaining what happened.

TL;DR whilst I was inactive someone hacked my skype and messaged many people, managing to scam someone for $60

Whilst I know there is next to no evidence I wasn’t the scammer, as you can see I stopped trying to get my password reset after I decided to quit RS, and never logged into skype, as I was inactive and not using it. The only reason my account’s last seen at 25th of September 2015 was when I used my old laptop (that kept me logged in) so I could PM a mod to try and help me to fix my password. Have a feeling it was roary or Sythe himself, but can’t get back into my account to check. This, however is another problem that can be dealt with afterwards.

I would also like to say, it is quite cliché to say but just before I quit I sold some stock and bought some more gold, adding up to like 5B in gold, plus buying and selling a comp cape account, then quitting. If you see where I am coming from, wouldn’t make much sense to the come back to $100 donor account + more with those vouches and scam like $60, although I guess the motive was more.

Sorry for the long thread, but i hope you realise that i was hacked and i have paid the guy who got scammed back.

Also, if i do get the account back can a mod help me to reset the password? i saw a thread about possible 2nd email server, i believe i no longer receive emails now for a long time now. thanks guys

Just want to state that this user took complete initiative to pay back any victims. No hassle. I like seeing that in pardoners, it shows that you take responsibility.
