Hacked accounts

I know very little inside the world of hacking. I know about keyloggers, blackhats, etc etc. However; I know nothing on how they work and things like that. I am curious, how do Sythe accounts get hacked? Is it via email links and stuff like that?
I am confused.
I see a lot of trusted and well known people get hacked on here, so its not like they are unfamiliar with the internet and the blackhat world, how are they falling prey to these situations?

Makes me wonder too. I assume there are some high level hackers out there that do a lot more than just the average hack.

Normally a 2fa will keep you safe unless you get keylogged.
Dont download any stuff you dont even know.

leakedsource.com, you can find a video of A Friend talking about this (Oakdice has one as well I think?). Pretty much every database ever leaked is on there. That's most likely the reason a lot of people get hacked these days.

Also check with https://haveibeenpwned.com and not leakedsource. Fuck paying money (you can get a notification via email on that site, if something does happen to your information)

 

I wouldn't go into detail as to how it's done, rather how to prevent it. Have a 2 step email (meaning the email will text you confirming any suspicious logins) and 2FA on your Skype and Sythe. This will make it extremely difficult for hackers to get in.

 

Keep changing ur pasws atleast once a month

The sythe DB was leaked a while ago and a lot of people haven't changed their information. There was also a few exploits most of which were patched but with several accounts still being hacked you have to assume there's either more exploits or the hackers saved up a number of hacked accounts before they were patched.

Probably a place you want to avoid.

 

The site isn't secure, so people's passwords kept getting exposed, so scammers just log onto accounts that have vouches and scam.

 

Funny to see nobody's mentioned that there's a strong possibility people aren't getting "hacked", but using it for a scapegoat.

Bottom line, if a high valued member doesn't have 2fa, I wouldn't even bother. 2fa coupled with a Sythe PM for any trade is basically a cure all.

Database Exploits + Leaks.

Unfortunately in the world of technology it would seem that the attackers are always one step ahead. There will always be new "exploits" and "bugs". It is just something that is bound to happen with this kind of thing.

 

I dont understand why someone wouldnt have a 2fa set up...

 

Can't afford a $50 smart device or too incompetent to use the desktop version.
