Change to OBH

Considering the aftermath of the recent thread regarding stickies, I'd like to suggest something towards bond holders:

Completely get rid of the fees altogether. Make it so everyone offers the same service fee free. I've been using Sythe for ~roughly a month now and I can tell you to users who aren't making bank, the fees are probably scaring off a ton of potential donors who would significantly help with the development with Sythe. Since you're basically getting rid of what some of these OBH are doing for cash, you'd most likely see a decline in customer support when it comes to certain bond holders. What I suggest is simple - give these bondholders a weekly or bi-weekly percentage of what they've sold (~%5-%10). Instead of them having the donors paying the fees themselves, Sythe essentially is paying them for offering a service to help with Sythe.

In conclusion:

Get rid of the fees some bondholders currently have so its a 0% fee free service, while also giving them a weekly or bi-weekly percentage of donations to keep them motivated towards helping out Sythe. You'll most likely see an in influx of more donors as they don't have to deal with the fees some people currently have.

 

True, if you use a OBH other then PA or video you probably don't know that they can process donations without a fee.
If you did know this then you would simply not use any other one, however some people don't know this and end up paying way more then what they really needed to.

Lol if you think you're going to get Richard to give people a % of donations. How it is now is fine; people see fee-free donations and go to them. If they're offline, they can use Bogdan or Moes.

 

Can I ask why specifically? While PA and video are offering probably top-notch donor services being 100% free, I don't feel like others, not specifically you, will be as motivated if there is no money behind it considering this is a website for marketing and sales.

Because we do it for the site, not for a profit. They don't get as much donations because we have stickies. They can catch whatever is left once we're done donating for people. Richard isn't going to give money out for no reason lol...

 

okay let me get something straight here.

Before Video was promoted to bond holder I was the single bond holder out of everyone who did no fee services (with the exception of paypal transactions) so people need to cut that shit out.

We are bond holders to help out the website, there should not be anymore justification for motivation other than that. We also can receive vouches for our services which is fine. We also have the opportunity to take fees on our services (which I continue to do for paypal only)

 

Video and I had a good chuckle about my thread and this one.

I'ma no support for the sythe splitting donations part.

I think it's fine the way it is. Let nature take its course... More bond holders are starting to offer the service free. Everyone will get the hint eventually.

 

Ah, alright was just wondering. Both of you and PA brought up good points concerning donations, especially the owner giving up his own money (don't know why that never crossed my mind..lol). I think I'm more angry at the fact new users get tricked into paying more (me lol) than they have to as some people are semi-predatory when it comes to bond services it seems. Regardless, great points made, yet I still think theres some flaws within the system personally.

 

i paid around 1,400 for my donor ranked LOL i was new to sythe and had no idea, you could directly donate for rank. I think there should be a flat rate for buying donor ranks from a holder, as i was charged like 25-33% :/

 

That's why we have the 0 fee ones stickied now which I think is really nice.

Afaik you've always been able to donate via PP through the user center 1:1 after being a $5 donor and a few other minor criteria. It's in the faq but I feel like many people don't know that.

 

This has been suggested very often and they were all denied saying bond holders can charge whatever they want.

Recently I decided to offer a fee-free donation service so there are a total of 3 bond holders now offering the same. About getting paid for taking donations, I don't think that'll happen. The demand for bond holder is too high.

 

You mean after I told you on Skype the requirements to donate yourself and you still didn't wait to meet those requirements?

 

No support. They have to give up time no matter how much it is to take the donation, if they want to charge for that time so be it. It's not as thought they are forcing themselves upon you to chose there donation service.

 

No to your proposal. They should be allowed to charge a fee. A % of donations isn't a good idea.

I've been trying to get bond holder for 1-2 years now though, with almost no response. I was told there was a "waiting list" at one point but I'm 99.99% sure that's horseshit. Maybe if they accepted more bond holders, there would be more options and competition to offer lower fees.

 

Loving that idea, I guess they have to chose reputable people but there are plenty. More competition is a great idea as at worst it will lower the asking fees?

 

There are already plenty of bond holders. For PayPal there are 6 bond holders available. Like I said 3 of them are fee-free.

I am wondering why this still hasn't been locked. This has been discussed so many times.
