Why are these being stickied again?

You're just arguing the same stupid argument over and over again. Skilling/gold/quests/ANY market doesn't compare to bond holding because it is a service for SYTHE, not the user doing the service. The OBH rank is given out to help SYTHE, not the bond holder. Can you SRB from the suggestions forum please? You're just using this forum to vent and that isn't what it is for.

 

Yeah and as its a privilege, the bond holders deserve to either fail or succeed in selling donations ranks equally, its pathetic that a free service is getting stickied over a service charging when that service charging has every right to be doing so.

There is no market for donation services. There is no "purchase" or "sale" of these ranks. They are merely exchanging money on different platforms, similar to swapping. If you're going to argue that services that are "fee free" in the goldswapping market should be stickied as well, that would send the message that these people are trusted over the others in that market, as it is different than swapping. Drawing a parallel from a donation process to something that is both intended for profit and includes a wide range of Sythe users, rather than trusted users hand-selected for the service, is not a viable comparison. People who want to donate to the site may do so through the bondholders. Stickying free services by no means violates are free market principles, as that would entail restricting the services with fees in some manner.

 

But you are restricting them with fees don't you see?

By stickying free bond holders threads you are essentially restricting the other bond holders to drop their prices or remove their fees because they cant compete with the free stickied threads, which basically forces them into either stop selling donations or reduce the fees drastically while they shouldn't of ever been forced to do so.

 

And your point is?

I'm not disagreeing with the change, do you think I wouldn't prefer more donations to the site and cheaper bond holders?


I'm just making staff aware that what their doing still is violating the other bond holders rights service wise, I don't disagree with the change I just disagree that not everyone is being equally treated due to a factor such as price.

That's not what sythes market is suppose to be about.

The bond holders exist not to make profit for themselves but to make it easier for people to donate to sythe. Stickying the fee-free donation threads increases visibility while at the same time not giving anyone an unfair advantage. This is not a market, we are not competitors, we all provide identical services and we all just want to see as many people donate as possible. There's no reason for anyone to quit offering their donation services as a result of this stickying, there are still people who pay fees for donation because someone else isn't online who is fee-free and that's completely fine.

This discussion has gone on long enough and there really isn't more to be said here so I'm going to swing my humongous e-dick and smash this thread closed. KABOOM

 

Take it up with an admin (or Sythe himself) if you feel so strongly about it.
