Suggestions To Stop New Account Scamming

I am sick and tired of all these people using VPN's and such to create new accounts with the sole intent to just scam AND THEN REPEAT THE PROCESS

I literally have lost over $1200 with stupid scams I've fallen to (paypal recovery/account recovery), and I am sooo tired of this.

    SUGGESTION 1:
A BRAND NEW ACCOUNT SHALL UNDERGO AN IP CHECK AND WILL NOT BE APPROVED UNTIL ADMIN/MODERATOR HAS GONE THROUGH A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF THE IP ADDRESS ...yes I understand that this will force one of the admins to spend hours just looking up ip addresses, BUT THIS IS MY SUGGESTION TO THIS
[With the approved suggestion of the Admins having to search the newly created accounts' ip address, we should have a DONATION thread to the admins (or site) that KEEP THIS SITE SAFE AND FREE FROM SCAMMING] -Just a little bite of what this can lead to, but I sincerely want the admins to have to look @ the new accounts' ip and deem whether or not they should allow the account in), and when they are ALLOWED ON THE SITE; THEY MUST UNDERGO SUGGESTION 2

    SUGGESTION 2:
A BRAND NEW ACCOUNT SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO POST FOR A CERTAIN NUMBER OF DAYS (possibly 2 weeks? a month?)

    UGH
and please, do not post here with YOUR SIGNATURE. Even if your signature looks so "cool", it won't mean anything if you keep on getting scammed by the scammers who view your sig, respectively.

Yeah maybe some different perks for donating to the mods who check ip's and keep sythe safe as can be. Maybe we could have "sythe protector" yeah ik its a shi... name, but something like that in a mini rank for those who reach a donation threshold?

    No support.

Will take up too much of the mods time, and stops real new users from using the site. Waiting 2 weeks-1 month wont stop scammers.

You really should not buy an account from any new users anyways, as 90% of the time it ends up like this. If you do buy an account from any of these users, you need to expect it to get recovered. As for PayPal, you should stick to BTC or RSGP from people you don't trust.

    Blue skittle,
The definition of Free market has nothing to do with the fact that people are just making new accounts and scamming.

And for your terms, according to Dictionary.com, the term free market stands for, "Where buyers and sellers can make the deals they wish to make without any interference" interference in this case is the simple fact that many of these scammers are making accounts off of VPN's and it's not fair.

Sure, I may be butt hurt that I just got scammed $60 and don't have 6,000 posts, but don't be rude about it and post your sig.

I FIRMLY STAND THAT THERE SHOULD BE A MOD POSITION TO LOOK UP NEWLY CREATED ACCOUNTS' IP'S, AND THERE SHOULD BE A MINIRANK TO THE MODS WHO ARE KEEPING ARE SYTHE TRANSACTIONS SAFE.

I completely agree, as someone who has been scammed multiple times on this website it is something I would like to see implemented. By having these admins check Ip's or whatever to try and run background checks it could help to bring down some of the scamming.

While your idea sounds good, there's no way the staff could check every single accounts details in depth before approving them even if they wanted to. Not to mention the fact that all staff here are volunteers and are busy IRL, or handling other things for the most part.

I think thats why he suggested a donation system for the mods? So they would get something in return for seeing the legitimacy of "new players". I don't know if someone new comes here and gets scammed straight away, what will they tell there friends? If people are checked via ip, it may reduce the number of people who get scammed which leads to the site getting bad rep.

No support, it's your stupidity if you buy accounts from people that aren't trusted, nevertheless almost brand new users. If you don't want to get scammed don't take paypal from people that aren't trust worthy, and if you do make sure you require ID and video trades in case the person paying with paypal attempts to chargeback. As for account buying, only buy from very trustworthy people.

Sythe isn't a free market(First time I've said this, I wonder if Sythe would still say it Is, haven't seen him say it for a long time).

HF is closer to the free market definition then sythe considering they don't even ban scammers, but truly allow u to judge a trader by their merits and skills.

I don't support due to the free market thing though, which is the same thing everyones going to say I'm sorry to say.

I honestly cant imagine scenario where admins spend their time on looking up newcomers, the thing is they register with new IP addresses, however you're the one who picks seller of product you want. Definitely no support

I can definitely see the appeal of such a forum, but sythe.org won't convert. The owner doesn't want to limit the number of people that can use the market in that way. Thank you for the suggestion though hulk, and I'm truly sorry to hear you were scammed.
