The code word system

Hi i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but i have abit of advice to help to stop scamers on skype when buying or selling

The code system how it works

When looking to buy the buyer will send a code word in pm which could be anything
then seller a random code word back. Then when on skype the buyer will ask for his code word then seller ask for his then that way you will know it is them you are talking to not a scamer because they will have to know the code word. If they don't know the code word then walk away.

It just adds an extra layer of security when buying and selling

so i think should to be advice to every one about this system

 

This is called asking for a PM, which all traders are encouraged to do already.

This doesn't really help prevent double imposter scams either. It's best to just include your skype username in a PM and from there it's up to the other user to be diligent in making sure that he's trading the right person.

 

also include a piece of your chat and check that it's the same guy and you should be safe in most cases. but yeah, this is why we send pms
