    Graphics question

Hey! I am going to open a gfx shop on sythe hopefully by tomorrow, I just have a few questions
    1. What is the maximum signature + thread layout dimensions?
    2. How do you get bigger avatar
    3. Does inputing 15,28,43 as colour codes in photoshop make the image transparent on the sythe forums?
    Thanks for replies :]]]

    Graphics question

Hi Mylo. You'll find most of the answers to these in the graphics section but I will reiterate here for you :)

    1. The maximum signature size is 650 x 350px. This includes any text outside the graphic, so make sure you factor this in when designing. As far as I am aware there is no limit to thread layout dimensions; however, as a general rule of thumb, most artists tend to use a 1000px width by the relevant height and divide it up vertically (this is called slicing) to make the image load faster.

    2. To get the 150px x 150px avatar you need to donate $5 to Sythe. Visit the user centre at the top of the forums to do this!

    3. The best way to achieve transparency is by making the background on photoshop transparent (by deleting any backing layers) and saving the file in PNG format. In some cases this isn't possible. You can solve this by doing the following:

    • Make a new document in the format RGB
    • Fill the background with colour #0f1c2b (for signature or post space) or #284059 (for avatar space). These are called hex codes.
    • Save the file as a JPEG (.jpg)

I hope this helps! If you would like any more help please don't hesitate to get in touch.

EDIT: I have just checked RGB codes. Entering 15,28,43 in RGB does correspond to the signature space. I think you'll find using hex codes a lot easier to remember and input though.
