Value of phats

^This was 7.9b when I hosted the bet, how much would this be worth now?

 

Think that's about 18.2b now, crazy.

 

This is close to 20b atm. Blue is about 9b, White is about 7.1b, Green is about 4b. The prices are being manipulated very hard right now.

 

Cant believe the blue is 8500m… That is an insane price!!

Definitely worth investing though as the price's will only keep on increasing!

 

lol the only reason I see phats increasing so much is due to the fact absolutely no one gives a flying fuck about rares in this game anymore. I'd assume they'd crash, but considering there's still a mental illness known as "elitism," they'll only go up, even though the overwhelming majority of people don't even care.

I logged into the RS homepage a few days ago to find the discontinued item thread, laughed so hysterically hard at how blues are nearly 10b. I mean, I could have seen them being that expensive years ago when people actually thought discontinued items were "the thing," but i'm so utterly failing to understand the appeal anymore.

 

They are all 2.147m ge price, but street price is how you can get them, a blue is worth 8b.

 

Wow...I remember buying a blue during the pre-eoc era for 3b. The amount of gp in the game is also steadily increasing, so it makes sense for partyhats to adjust in price and go higher. Pre-eoc partyhats followed rises and falls in gold prices.

 

I'm so glad I sold my phat back then when they were just 1B each. Best decision I've made by far. I invested them somewhere else and gained 40B. I don't think a phat would ever reach 40B.

Advice: Don't invest on phats. Its not a long term investment. Don't cripple your money and invest somewhere else that will make you faster and bigger money in the long run.

 

I would have to disagree, Its quite a safe investment as can be seen from the rise in phats that ever continues to happen. Yes there is the risk of someone with 500 phats to come back to rs but what are the odds of that?

Nah they seem to be a "stable investment" atm, wouldn't dump them unless you have info saying that someone with a ton of them is coming back to rs3. You probs are making money everyday just sitting on them.

 

Their prices are only so inflated because Jagex has killed the entirety of the playerbase aside from maxed players. Partyhats are the only distinguishing item of wealth in fashionscape once everyone has a completionist cape.

 

I dont even play RS3 but maybe I will just buy a skiller on there an collect phats lol.

I remember buying a Green Phat a couple years ago for around 1.4B. To see what it's currently at and the other partyhats as well, I'm seriously questioning how that inflation is even possible.

 

I've already stated that it's pretty much manipulation right now. Manipulation doesn't have to mean owning a bunch of them. There are people reporting fake trades in the price checking forums with their alts driving the price up for example. They often get caught doing so but there are many ways to manip. Another method is that people will hold their phats intentionally not selling to drive the price up.

 

Always thought phats were ugly. Highly overrated.

I preferred the H'ween masks. I still have a green and blue. Bought them back in 06 when they were 10m and 20m, respectively. Need to save up for a Red now to complete the collection. For me, it's more of a fun side hobby. I don't get rares to make money.
