Another Section Suggestion

Proposed section name: Webmaster Marketplace

Proposed sub sections:
*SEO Tips,Tools & Services
*Web Development Services
*Domains
*Webhosting Services



I currently feel web development is all chucked into software sales.


There is no-place to discuss SEO, web development services, domain trading or webhosting services.

Is basically being used to talk about computers and their specs, programming talk is dead.


Personally I'd scrap the technology board but since people will bitch, I'd leave it there.


I'm talking about an actual market board for things like SEO services, web development services, web hosting, domain buying & selling, etc.

Very few users deal with those services, even fewer users would use sythe.org to trade or talk about it, no support.

 

That's an opinion.

I can mention another online forum similar to sythe that has over 1 million threads created under similar category's.


I really think its unfournate when ideas are shot down when they've never even been tested on Sythe.

At some point people have to realize- if we don't start changing and adapting to things that MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT WORK, sythe is eventually going to crumble.

Market activity decreases every day, Mabey it's time to try something new sythe hasent did before, just because it MIGHT NOT work isn't a valid reason in my eyes to no support this.


Especially since we have no web community or development community hardly- What possible harm could come from attempting to get some?



"it wont be active"- That might or might not be true, how can you tell if we never try?

 

We've shot down many ideas due to lack of demand being a factor. IF there was a way to get the section going once introduced, I'd completely support this; however, based on current activity I don't see why we should expand a dead section.

 

It might only be dead and current activity might be dead because there aren't proper sections supporting people to be active in those areas.

 

Support 100%, especially now that many gold sellers are moving away from having shops on threads and directing their business to their site for the added security.

The only thing is though, why would anyone come to Sythe for this, over other sites that already have these sections? We have a small userbase that I'm imagining would be very involved in it, but without a draw to it I don't know how we would make the section successful.

Bump. Don't really have an opinion on this, but if people think it's a good idea I don't see why we can't give it a try. Problem is I've never seen any interest in this kinda stuff on Sythe.

 

I don't particularly mind introducing sections to see whether they generate activity or not, and if their activity can't justify their own section, then removing them. Just an issue of clutter - can't introduce 10 sections at once.

 

You say there is no place to discuss SEO/web development, then suggest removing the exact place where you can discuss it in. You then say you're talking about an actual market forum, so the former was irrelevant? Software sales is just fine.

I'm fine with whatever, I didn't even realize this was still in play, someone clearly like the idea though lol.
