Does anyone here have a single watch that they adore or a few watches they alternate? Personally I love having a few watches depending on the style of the day. I only own fairly cheap watches but will definitely move on to more expensive when I have the funds

Came this thread expecting to see a discussion on some worthwhile watches, was fairly dissapointed. Not to be rude but what is that crap? $170 watches? Might aswell buy a $200 Michael Kors or a $150 Fossil watch if you are into that kind of low quality fashion product.

Save up for a Rolex or Omega that will last you a lifetime and will increase in value as time goes on. I personally own a 2012 Rolex submariner worth $7200.

I'm a student I cannot afford a $7200 watch in my current financial situation. It doesn't currently make sense to spend 7200 dollars on something that I can't drive or live in right now as while I'm well on my way to a career my watch can't be worth more than the rest of the stuff I own. Sorry to disappoint.

Then at your current budget I would definitely buy a Michael Kors, great designs. I own one just for the sake of it and they have the appearance of expensive watches.

I'm personally a fan of Tokyo Flash or similar watches. Not too pricey compared to higher end watches (50-300$) and are very unique in the way they are read. More of a conversation piece if anything, and most of the time they look very cool/futuristic.

I like watches...unfortunately I have the skinniest/boniest wrists of all time even though I'm a heavier set guy everywhere else. Bad luck, but watches don't work for me :/

i agree that the ones you posted are kinda tacky (imo at least) - but you do you, if that suits your style, all the more power too you.

look into some of the danish watchmakers: skagen, bering, etc. for that lower price range but still good quality/style. maybe move up to citizen, victorinox, or seiko if you're willing to spend a bit more. tissot maybe as well.

please, for all that is holy and all that is blupig, do not buy a fossil monstrosity

For the price point, fossil watches are great quality and design, you can get a fossil watch for only $90.

I own about 20 different watches from fossil to MK to Movado to Diesel to TAG.... I'm a big fan of watches in general from low price to high priced watches, if i like the way it looks and think it'd go great with an outfit i'll buy it. That MVMT watch for only $95 i could imagine it being paired with a very nice outfit and the outfit would make the watch look more expensive than it actually is.

That original grain one is ugly though >_<

My favorite watch is coincidentally a MK watch. I love the design and get plenty of compliments when i wear it.

Nixon Banks, the crystal gives a really cool prism effect, and the faceplate is black but shines gold in the right light. It's a really nice effect, and because of the prism, it's always catching the light and shining as if it were backlit.

Rolex watches are more of an investment. A lot of drug dealers use them to get rid of money. They maintain value and sometimes rise when one specific type/model is no longer made.
On the other hand, they're upper-class watches for people who can afford to fork out a few grand as an investment or just want to look like a boss.

I have a variety of watches. Started off with an ICE watch when I was like 15 when they were in fashion (around £120 I paid) and went on to more expensive watches which will help me later in life if I ever struggle (easy to re-sell)

Watches with leather straps make me puke. I haven't had a watch in a long while, but I'm planning on buying a Bulova or Michael Kors watch, it's less tacky.

Rolex is to flex not stash cash you probably don't even know how cash is tracked anyway.

A rolex is a nice watch my father owns one and its an instant head turner. But as I saw stated above an Omega is also a really good brand one of my buds has one it was kinda expensive (1,800ish) But says its worth it. Personally I would save for a nice one instead of 4-5 ones that will fall out of style 2-3 years. There are some nice MK and an outlet mall near me has Giorgio Armani and a fossil outlet. Ill stop by there tomorrow and look to see if they have good deals or not, maybe something you could look into more since money isn't there to blow

What's a good gold and a good silver watch I can purchase that's on the cheaper end of the spectrum? Any recommendations?

Not cheap, but I prefer citizen watches. They are heavy too.

I use the samsung watch now, pretty cool!
