It works better than any other supplement because it can help YOU push your workouts harder and longer which WILL absolutely build more muscle, unlike the promises BCAA and other bullshit supplements make..

I've tired numerous pre-workouts and I really love taking them. Gives a nice boost both mentally and physically. Yes, it might be mostly placebo but I've never seen the wrong with that. You get amped up from it. Placebo rocks/10.

Some of my favorites includes BullNox, Evol (Genomyx), Stimaholic (Genomyx), Curse and C4.

Combining EVOL with Stimaholic gave me the most epic pump ever, what a complete euphoria that was.

Curse and C4 for price/per serving ratio. (They are decent and can be done with higher doses)

Edit: forgot D-Stunner, that one stimulates your CNS (central-nervous-system) and gave me a sick euphoria aswell. Made me feel drunk/10. Awesome

In my opinion, they are not worth the money. Plainly, a bit of sugar and coffee will do the same without the itching, jitters etc.

Wouldn't recommend stimulants unless you're taking them early in the morning.

Creatine gives you a good energy boost without the side effects of CNS stimulants.

I believe that c4 did something good for me when i did work out a while back. I'd always feel the need to do extra reps.

I remember the first time I used a pre workout supplement called "Craze" this was the fucking bomb, however it is no longer on the market, it contained something illegal I assume. It literally felt like I was on crack and the workouts were amazing BUT I couldn't sleep or eat after taking the supplement.

Agreed, early in the morning works pretty good. Pumpfuel insanity works pretty well for me. Gets me hyped for work. More BCAAs afterwards for recovery and a meal pretty soon after. Also the most important part about getting any gains is rest, knowing when not to workout for recovery, and sufficient sleep & diet.

I did a bit more research on creatine. It's good stuff.

I suggest taking it and some unadulterated sea salt every day as well as a good multivitamin.

    Here's how it works:

Essentially it's needed as part of the energy cycle of your cells. When you have it in abundance your cells' energy pathway works correctly, burning either ketones or glucose (whichever is available) on demand for any energy requirements you might have. This includes mental energy requirements (the brain uses a lot of energy.)

It really physically gives you more energy -- as in your cells have more physical energy available to them for longer.

Really the deal with it is this: If you ate an evolutionary diet of say 500g -1000g of red meat or fish every day you would have the same amount of creatine in your body as you do when you take a supplement. Unless you are eating this amount of meat every day you are essentially creatine deficient and your cells are physically incapable of making optimal energy.

It goes hand in hand with taking plenty of unadulterated sea salt which contains numerous key minerals your cells need to function correctly. When you have sufficient unadulterated sea salt in your diet ( in line with historical averages ~10-15 grams / day ) your body leaves low-sodium mode and you are able to sweat freely which gives you more endurance and protects your organs from heat stress.

I've tried multiple pre-workouts and they either do do nothing but taste like a Kool Aid or they make me go crazy and feel sick/dizzy. Be careful

Only Supplements you really need is Creatine and Whey Protein after a workout.

BCAA are optional. They are amino acids you could drink in the morning + during a workout.

Pre - Workout is optional but I take it. Somedays i'm too tired or just got off of work/school so I take it and get a boost of energy.

In my opinion, don't get c4. Mr. Hyde is a good one, but theres this one i tried that made me crazy, if you want i can find the name and give it to you.

Don't take the same pre-workout every day though. Your body will get used to it. I have 2 different types of Pre-workout, and only take it 3 times a week sometimes 4.

What are the negative side effects of going on Creatine, I've been debating about whether trying it or not

I wouldn't recommend taking a pre-workout, just take alot of proteins and you will be all good.

I know a friend of mine was taking too much and started to get Diarrhea for a bit.

Creatine gets those few extra reps in. It pulls h2o into your muscles. I usually do it after my workout and put in my protein shake when i'm bulking.

In my experience, don't take creatine when you're trying to cut. Take it when you're bulking. Also, don't take too much. only reason i do it after my workouts is because my body is in need of energy. So it sucks it right up.

I don't use pre-workout I do however use caffeine supplements before a nice workout and by that I mean coffee, it's what people in jail use to get buff without having pre-workout and it doesn't have all the crazy side effects.

I agree with this post here for the most part, but I have been using C4 for about 4 or 5 months now and it gives me a pretty decent energy boost especially since I usually take it after I've already worked a full day. The only complaint I really have about it is the price. Which preworkout do you use?

I'd say it's worth it. Basically, it's almost like an energy drink. It's just a bunch of caffeine and other shit to give you more drive. You don't have to take it every time. Just when you need a little extra push.
