    Why is Sythe.org slow?
    lol yeah der, gawd your talking to noobs about hosting? why bother? secondly why not install the ddos software? it would @ least slow them down if not stop them... PS sythe add me to msn i wanna talk to you about advertise RSF again :p since you <3 us so much

    Why is Sythe.org slow?
    Are both the servers getting DDoS'd, because if its just one, my guess would be the MySQL server, and correct me if im wrong but you either just paid for your hosting or changed hosts about 10 minutes ago.

    You are all wrong, stop making stupid assumptions based on your flawed knowledge of hosting.

    We've been with this host for almost a year. I've had two servers for almost a year. The mysql server is hidden, its not open to the public. The server which is being attacked is the apache server.

    I have firewalls installed, anti ddos scripts, anti http flood scripts, detection systems and various software designed to harden linux servers. My host's dedicated server team, and I, have been fighting off attacks since the conception of sythe.org.

    The problem essentially now is that we are no longer dealing with script kiddies, but professional attackers, who are paid to attack.

    Lol i think some people are desperate to eliminate sythe.org . Luckily sythe works hard to keep us running and protected. Just keep doin what your doin they will give up eventually or hopefully run out of money.

    Thats why I asked what server was being DDoS'ed, didnt know your MySQL server was hidden, well if you need any support, just ask.

    Yah, seems like the attacks have stopped, or at least subsided. Hopefully they do not rise to full power again.
