Very Very Bad News

Woke up this morning to see that my account is banned.
I used a paid script on it yesterday for a while from osbot. Perm banned. What a shitty day.

Edit -> Didnt have any previous offences. I thought that they normally gave out a temp-ban first?
Also, is it safe to log onto other accounts from this IP or no?

 

I'd recommend changing your IP and deleting your Jagex cache.

Ideally don't log onto any accounts that we're on your old IP.

 

How do I change my IP?
I've never been able to figure out how.

 

As far as I know it ain't possible to change your IP yourself without contacting your ISP Provider. Dynamic IP's however change themselves once in a while, but they look very likely. I might be wrong though, never really caught my interest either.

Yeah people always have backup nmz host bots for ban waves. Interesting though.

Wouldn't advise logging into your IP on any other un-compromised accounts. They'll attach the IP to it and then ban you from it.

Do what DarkestDream said to do, delete your Jagex cache and change your IP. There are loads of VPN/VPS providers, but make sure you get a dedicated IP (one that another botter/gold farmer hasn't used). Once your cache and IP has been dealt with, log into your accounts and do what you need to.

You might not be able to play from your main IP for some time, but it very rarely sticks. Sucks to hear that man.

 

Theres no clear understanding to how Jagex decides 2 day ban/perm ban on the first ban. Also use a proxy if you want to bot instead of your home ip that you play on

 

Yeah, I'm going to start that from now on. Stupid I didn't do that from day one.

 

This isn't surprising. They no longer give a fuck and give out perm bans now regardless what you bot.

If you care about an account, you don't bot it. This ought to be a lesson for you.

 

Did you use mirror mode? Botting without VIP is asking for a ban.

 

Your IP can be flagged if you have been banned multiple times or have a past of macroing and given a perm ban without a 2 day ban first.

 

Osbot isn't the best if you want an account to last in my opinion.

Sucks to hear about the double banning. I thought JaGeX only bans the account that the botting has been done on? I haven't played in ages and I haven't followed the news regarding RuneScape though.
