    He doesn't edit because that would take about 30 seconds to do so. He would actually lose ~$0.92 by editing because he can make $110/hour elsewhere.

    can you drop the donor requirement if you have more years or posts? I'd totally do quick donations for free but likely not if i have to drop $195 first

    What are you on about? You've never been able to edit a donation once it's created (except for the status). Are you referring something to else or? Feel free to direct any questions regarding the User Center to me as I did write it.


    To clarify- the "buy in" mentioned previously is the minimum amount to load onto a bond to open it. The money goes into your bond balance and you can use it; it's not a fee or anything.

    The new automated bond holder management will be coming in the new User Center as part of XenForo.

    Me giving $195 additional to this site after everything I've done doesn't make me any more or less trusted or able to handle donations. Why is there a required $$$ rank to do this?

    You'd have to ask Sythe but it's probably to give donation revenue a push since people will donate so they can have a bond.

    If it wasn't for the 2-year requirement, I'd be doing 0% donations like video if I do truly have 0% chance to lose money from charging back (I read above that your bond is refunded if you get a chargeback?). I'm on here 24/7 regardless so why not, happy to see video is taking time out of his day to do it.

    Fair enough. I just figured having more, once approved by you / Sythe would be better for the community. Lower donation fees = more donations theoretically. The ~$140 spent for the $100 rank can be talked up to $200 for the $200 rank at a 0% fee. At the moment it seems like users are DISCOURAGED from donating more because of the fees.

    We're also looking at hiding bonds from the user center with a $0 balance. A bunch of bond holders sit around with $0 in their bond. The new user center will likely hide bonds with less than some amount of money in them to keep people from sitting around empty.

    The original intent of a bond was for people to load $100 or something and then eat away at it as people donate. Currently, however, people seem to be sitting around with $0 and then loading $5 when someone donates $5 just for that donation. Not efficient in many respects.

    Any thoughts on what the minimum bond balance should be for a bond to show up in the user center donation methods list?

    I think $100 minimum balance is fair, i was going to suggest $200 but i thought it over again and $100 usually should be able to process 5 donations if not more? i don't think the average donor amount is that high and no reason to really ever process over $5-25 for someone when they can directly donate at that point, and if they can't they can then contact a bond holder again for more assistance.

    The $5 is because someone has to go through the work of verifying your information then storing it away, I totally agree with that fee.
