First Signature, Thoughts?

Tell me where I can improve.

Yeah unfortunately you'd have to shrink it down to 650px in length. Have you tried doing any animations at all? I like the style, but I feel like you could jazz it up a bit more with an ambient gif.

 

If it's his first signature, I don't think he would be ready to make animations yet. However, you're right. We feel like there's a little something missing. Good job on your first signature tho, man. It's great Just make sure to resize it so it does not exceed 650 pixels in length (as Pure & Excelont said).

What do you mean by ambient gif? I could look into it.

 

Like a very subtle animation of dust particles flying around. Something barely noticeable, but when you see it, it looks much cooler Idk how to really explain it.

 

Looks very cool for a first, but remove it until you re-size it.

You didn't edit your post, but I see your new signature. That's exactly what I was talking about! Pair that up with some more ambience (you see those little circles around everywhere? Make them move!) and you'll have a sick signature

 

Now I know what you mean, lucky I hate After Effects. I'll give it a go.

PS I'd maybe make it "shine" bit more frequently!? But that's just me.

Looks good. I see you've added that animation to it (the light running across, not sure what it's called because I'm not GFX savy).

 

I don't know much about GFX, but I think it looks really well done! Honestly would have not thought it was your first, or anything close to that if you hadn't said it in the OP.

That's not ambient lighting, you're talking about bokeh, an aperture/depth effect. Ambient lighting is the lowest level of light in an environment, in digital media it's an originless uniform illumination of the scene.

To simulate bokeh, create a particle emitter with reflective material, aim a low flood light source from the side, apply post-processing depth of field and render.

 

I honestly understood nothing from this, I'm horrible at graphics I tried the particles with after effects, how did I go?

Keep the same theme though and fonts etc imo. Looks amazing, and make it smaller.

 

I tried with my whole name however it just wasn't working out. It's too long for a signature and doesn't fit properly with the given dimensions we're allowed to use.
