I think it would be good to expand on the current system but not just open it up like that, the current system of how bond holders are selected is garbage.

If we implemented a system to accept people who accept lower fee methods and people who accept a large range of methods this would be fair overall. (maybe selected by staff) Then this issue of bond holders who charge outrageous fees would be done and over with.

I remember previously lots of people could donate for another person and because of how it worked out it was a wreck.

 

I personally had no issue with them charging extra money for handling donations. Due to the unnecessarily strict selection of bond-holders they were allowed a monopoly and they simply capitalized on the opportunity presented to themselves.

 

Sounds like those requirements are reasonable.

On top of that maybe consider a service that lets you accept BTC in USD? You can take a direct payment 0 risk, and split it between cash/btc however you like.

Difference is, [even though I believe you're inventing the rates you're "paid" for] there is no effort in accepting a payment for a donation.

Richard you take this way too seriously. There is no monopoly look at the huge amount of bond holders. Brendan also just became bond holder. There's only one or two expensive bond holders.

when i handled donations im pretty sure we didnt charge absurd fees. we just treated it as buying gold and the payment method was sythe donation.
