Hello. I've been around the community for roughly 2-3 months. I was interested in mostly playing runescape and getting my account to stays where I wanted it had no interest in skilling or etc. But now that my account is under maintenance in thinking is it really worth it to spend my time doing services for others? I'm currently 20 years old in the military, get income and have other things to do yet I'm unable to play on account while it is being worked on and was really thinking to myself whether if it's really worth it for me to do services for others on sythe. Any suggestions and help is much appreciated
I've always thought that skilling for others is an enormous waste of time to be doing for money. You're basically making maybe 15% of minimum wage if you're lucky. With that said, you should probably stop.
All I do on a day to day basis is work lift eat sleep. Currently can't go to school atm to duse to military regulations. So I tools myself why not just make some pocket cash while I'm waiting
Yeah in my opinion, services should only be done when you're playing yourself and just have some extra room on your monitor. Other than that, I don't think it's a viable source of income.
I don't consider it a viable source of income due to me already being employed but it's not bad to have some pocket change
If you want to roast me, feel free, however, I just gave you valid suggestions. It seems you want to confirm your delusion that skilling is good money and came here for confirmation. It's essentially up to you how you want to make money. If you feel you have enough spending money, go ahead and stop skilling. If you don't, and enjoy skilling, go ahead and keep skilling. (PS don't report this post pretty please as it's not spam and there is no grounds for removal)
What I'm trying to get at is I do have income and since I cannot go to school due to military regulations atm I would like to make some kind of other income or else i would have too much free time. Just wanted opinions on if it worth it to do skilling services with my free time since i can't go to school and my schedule is literally work eat gym sleep. And That last comment you made i just thought it was a troll/spam/etc. So my apologies for assuming otherwise, wouldn't want to get a bad impression when I've never chatted with you before.
Quests services and shit don't make anything... If you get paid 5M to do a 3 hour long quest, that is like 1.50$ an hour... It's less than what you pay a slave LOL
Or you could do what I did, questing services and ask higher prices. I had 2-3 orders/week sometimes reaching 150-200$ which is pretty decent I'm assuming.
Maybe you can take some online courses to prepare yourself for school once you're done? I think its much more productive learning new things than making pocket change skilling for other people.
If i were to take online courses I would have to route paperwork to my chain of command and they would have to decide, basically its whether if i have the certain qualifications and i can't get the last one done due to my supervisor -_-
Honestly I would say do anything but skilling for people at peanut prices. Try a real job or buying and selling gold or something.
