    New GFX Card

Right I'm going to get a new GFX Card on Friday.

    My current spec is http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-Phoenix-h9-Desktop-PC-series/5295991/model/5316192

I was looking at getting http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IGQ4UX8/ref=psdc_430524031_t3_B00ICUGOP0

    But I also see

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Nvidia-...TF8&qid=1453934704&sr=8-2&keywords=Nvidia+gtx

It would be for shooting games mainly and also for WoW if I get back into it and I am wondering is there much difference for the price. I'm a BO3 player.

If you think of something different but same price range let me know.

960 would be the best option.

Even though the 960 is more expensive, it's actually the better bang for your buck.

Would I need anything extra to support it or would it basically be plug and play?

The 960 will be the best option, for 60 quid more, you'd see a huge difference than the 750Ti. I gotta admit, all the 9xx series cards are really great and the price range are good for what you get.

I'd recommend the 960 as well.

Are you opposed to AMD cards? The Radeon 380 provides better performance than the 960 in all areas aside from pixel rate (which is mostly for AA and high resolutions, though the 380 would definitely be able to handle both really well still) and is the same cost (some listings on Amazon are actually cheaper than the 960).

Regardless of which one you choose, your power supply is apparently 600w which is fine for either card.

For reference, the 960 vs the Radeon 380: http://www.hwcompare.com/19768/geforce-gtx-960-vs-radeon-r9-380-2g/

The 960 is IMO the best option, definitely go with the 960 yakno.

I've ended up getting the 960.

@Bluepig, I was looking at the Radeon but i've had friends who have had nothing but trouble with their cards.

Strange, my last two cards have been AMD and both lasted for years :D

All you people have yet to witness the power of the GTX 980 Ti... and its mighty price tag.

960 will do you fine, honestly the more you spend the more power you get, simple.

You'd get a lot more out of a 970 than you would a 960 if you can afford it.

    This ^

The 970 is literally the bang for buck in all the 9xx cards, I probably should've noted that within my first post to this thread.

If you look at the benchmarks for 970's they're a monster for the price you pay.
