    We've got a few Oculus demos set up at my university in the digital media lab, so naturally I gave it a shot. Got motion sickness on the rollercoaster demo, just as I would on a normal rollercoaster! Yay!

    Also tried a cardboard game at a game jam I did back in May and that one wasn't so bad, but I got dizzy pretty fast. Might have been because I was spinning on an office chair with that thing on my face to emulate a gunner pod.

    Anyone else get motion sickness when trying VR? I found that it wasn't so bad with games where you're walking around. There's this horror demo at school (couldn't finish it cause I'm a pu$$y) that I didn't get sick on.

    i haven't used anything VR-related, but dramamine is a miracle drug for motion sickness. i get one of the store-brand versions that comes in bulk and take it every time i'm in a car/bus/train/other thing that moves, and have zero effects - highly recommend it

    I get motion sickness from road trips by just looking at my phone for a long period of time while in the car...

    Yeah I can't read or watch movies or do much of anything in the car, but that's not normally a problem since I get like *really* tired in cars and fall asleep pretty fast anyway.

    I don't normally get motion sickness in cars or rollercoasters (sadly my VR experience is rather limited), but my sister does.

    You could try a band called "Sea Bands" that put pressure on specific pressure points to avoid/relieve nausea. She uses them and swears by them.
