Any chance to get unbanned?

My account is perm banned from botting. I haven't played in a long time now. Anyone had any success in apology letters or appeals or anything of that sort?

Probably not huh? Most the stats weren't botted. Really I just used a AHK script that was like 800k fletching exp an hour.. But it was a great account and I wouldn't mind hopping on now and again and I legitimately wish I hadn't botted now that I lost the account.

 

You probably wouldn't have any luck, they've been anal about bots recently and really don't give a shit.

I honestly feel bad for the people who get banned for botting who weren't botting at all as they're given 0 chance to appeal.

What kind of gaming company as big as RS has no customer service and is most easily reached via tweets? The fk?

 

Rs is not that big as you think, league of legends for example is way, way bigger.

Anyhow, they don't give 2nd chances. It's that simple.

 

I mean a long time ago they gave me a second chance. I sent in a apology thing, but it wasn't sincere at the time. They approved it. It has no connection to the current account so that won't haunt me.

Maybe policy is much more strict now. :/

Ah. My tweet just got the same. That is quite saddening. I don't have time to grind my account back. Also the grind would make me lose interest in the game again XD Just want to fool around with my great stats now and again.

 

Yeah the tweeting guys are told to only ignore those type of tweets apparently. Only say go to banned page and nothing they can do.

And they changed the ticket system. Can only send in a ticket about losing your account and that only gives you 300 characters to explain anything.

Sooo...I guess that's it lol.

 

They used to have an email you could send a message to, I got my account unbanned by that a long time ago. I forgot exactly what the email was, but if you search a little you might be able to find it.

 

You're pretty lucky to even have contact with someone. All the things I have tried have just been no contact from jagex

 

Yeah that's kinda what I remember.

I guess they got sick of people abusing the system and taking advantage of them... :/

The email was "[email protected]" i got one of my accounts unbanned last year ago with it but I've tried recently using the same email and no response been over 2 weeks now ;/

I believe they have 2 ways of dealing with banning for use of bots;

1st of all they decide whether or not the bot was used for gold farming purposes which leads to a instant permanent ban. If they believe it was not used for gold farming purposes then they issue temporary bans but if you have abused it on several occasions they will issue a permanent ban..

They wouldn't reverse the ban, it's your fault in the first place.

 

I just tried that email and got an automated message reply that it wasn't received because they only allow emails in that are in response to a current ticket. So looks like they blocked off that channel...

I'm so disappointed. I'm having some major nostalgia pains.

The chances are >.1% though. They don't give a shit anymore. It's honestly a horrible way to run a company and treat your customers (essentially, thats what any of us are).
I botted 250k strength xp on my pure that I had spent countless truly playing hours into last week and they hit me with a perm ban. First offence.

Try ticketing them. Realistically you won't be getting it unbanned but every now and then they post this Google doc on the website and put in your username to investigate into he account and see if it deserved a ban. One of my accounts was unbanned like this.

I saw on their twitter they are going to be doing that again soon. I'm hoping it helps me.

 

Looks like they closed both those emails now. They go nowhere. I'm actually pretty damn sad haha XD Remembering all the skills I earned legitimately and they won't even hear me out with a small paragraph.
