    Skype Security?

I am quite unfamiliar with how Skype works to be quite honest. And while i am currently selling my account, i am getting lots of people asking me to add them on Skype.
What are the dangers of having random unknown people on your Skype? I mean, can somebody get any info off of you without you knowing, i don't know much about hacking and stuff like that so it worries me but obviously i kind of need to add these people to sell my account.
My clan tell me to get them to join our teamspeak because then its safer as they cant see my IP or anything, but i dont know if people would do this due to our teamspeak leaders being able to see their IP.
Any help/advice on what to do/what not to do on Skype is very much appreciated

Everyone uses Skype, and you won't get hacked or doxed.

Just make sure the person you're adding the the real person on Sythe, and get a PM from them.

This isn't SFA material, I've requested it moved.

    Ok, thanks.

Didn't know which section it was best for to be honest. And Something For All seemed most logical as its something that many people may be worried about.

You're probably fine with adding people though people can probably grab ur IP. Main thing is to make sure the email associated with ur skype has 2factor auth enabled.

As people have mentioned the downfall to using skype vs. teamspeak is that most of the time people are able to get your IP address that you're connected with. However, basically everyone on Sythe uses Skype so it's such a big benefit to be able to communicate with everyone. On top of that, if you're really worried about people getting your IP there are ways to hide it from Skype, just search online.

I wouldn't worry too much about adding people on Skype, just make sure you get a proper PM before trading any money
