You guys think sharks will go up?

I've invested in 30k sharks to sell and I'm wanting to sell them at 1k each but they are really unstable right now. They were 830 2 days ago now they are 790. I don't know if I should just dump them now or wait for a little bit.

By the way this is my first ever short term/longterm merch and this is basically my bank so that's why I'm so worried lol.

 

well heres the math.

30k sharks x 790ea = 23.7m
30k sharks x 850ea = 25.5m

if waiting 2 weeks is worth 1.8m then hold them

 

100% agree. There's no rush to sell

 

Keep them in the grand exchange at all times for 1k until they sell.

 

Personally I don't see Sharks going up to 1k, at least not for a very long time.

 

I remember a few weeks ago they were very high around 1k+ For raw sharks (not sure about cooked). I started fishing a crap load but turns out they dropped in that time and only were around ~700 gp each or so. I would hold onto them or list them in the GE at 1k each and see if you get any buyers.

 

I have decided to sell them when they hit 800gp each. No profit but I rather not have them sit in my bank forever.

Note to self, never attempt to longterm merch again.

 

Sell them at 800.. but only sell 15k of them.. put the other 15k of them in the g/e for 980 / ea. thanks me later.

 

Yeah, resource prices are really volatile and hard to predict because of how heavily linked they are to botting trends and ban waves. I tried merching steel bars for a bit myself but that didn't turn out too well either.

Looking at the graphs though, sharks are at a pretty low point so I would have expected them to go up a bit over the next few weeks. Keeping your entire bank in that one item isn't the greatest idea though, glad you managed to dump them without losing too much.

I wouldnt really consider 2 days as long term.. but yeah, thats not that good of a merch for reasons stated by Meteor.

 

To add onto what Meteor said I wouldn't recommend merching resources unless you have atleast 1-2B + to work with.

 

The key trick to flipping is waiting... Never rush man, they aren't going to drop major anyway. I believe they'll go up in a few weeks.

 

He doesn't have enough starting money to wait weeks.

 

Then he should look into what he is flipping... Lol
