    Is it effective or accurate?

I mean ive input my stats there where it says i need to intake 1680 calories, so this is my maintenance right?

I need to lose weight but most importantly my body fat %.

So if i need to eat 1680 calories to maintain my weight, ill have to shave off 500 calories to lose.

Ive been doing quite some walking with steps calculator attached to fitness app, getting about 12k steps a day, sometimes 15k. I do a bit of jogging like twice a week. Im not sure what my BF% is even... But id like to get to 12-13% for sure. Any more tips?

Im afraid im losing water weight rather than actual fat weight so need some tips :)

Post your suggestions or your progress here so others can comment on yours too :)

Wouldn't recommend eating under 1400 calories at all.

How much do you weigh? Are you just looking to be a skinny guy or ..?

Its important to find out your information, its going to be very hard to grow muscle (and lose body fat %) by only jogging. You dont want to look like your malnourished. If your completely new to personal fitness I would consider consulting an expert. Most local gyms will have you "weigh in" and will be able to help you with any questions you may have. goodluck!

1680 calories is like nothing, I doubt that's your true maintenance. What is your actual height/weight/gender?

Im a 5'7 guy and im 172 pounds now, i think im 25%BF, i used to lift weights but due to my university i dont have enough time to do that anymore although i got a pull up bar at home where i do practice sometimes on it.

Its been a week since i started IF, did IF a long time ago and lost weight, but i think i need to initiate some cardio with it to see results.

But when i input my stats into fitness pal, is it accurate? I need about 1700 calories...

Im your same height/weight now. I was 184lbs dec 10, mostly muscle. But i was told i must lose 15 lbs.

So ive been using myfitnesspal and i have mine set to lose 2.5lbs a week. My daily calories are 1740. I always at least hop on an elliptical for an hour a day and that burns a solid 800 calories.

Now i am probably a lot more muscular than you, ive been training for 5 years. But, I went from 184-170lbs from Dec 10- Jan 8. Granted thats probably not the healthiest and i did notice some muscle mass loss, but my goal was to lose weight.

If my goal said i had to eat about 1740 calories and i burned 800 on the elliptical itd say 2500 calories for the day. I typically always ate over 1700, but never more than I'd burn via cardio.

Say i burned 800 so my total was 2500 for the day, id eat around 1900-2.2k calories. Never over, always under.

Water is key though, make sure you drink at least 8 cups a day. Since December 10th ive averaged 12 a day.
