How to get trusted in Sythe?

Hey!

So I was wondering how I can get trusted in the Sythe community. (Vouches, etc..)

I currently offer free services for Questing and Skilling:

I currently am the manager for a gold selling website and gold swapping website. I need to gain more trust from the community. How can I do so?

 

Donating a large amount is a good start, because unfortunately a lot of users equate donation rank to trust, which isn't always true.

To start I'd say getting vouches for free like you're doing. Vouches are what people see as trust, as well as donation amount. A good amount to start off would be 25$ + SVU fee.

 

Personally, I'd recommend waiting a bit until you donate, and then start with $5 + SVU. Seeing a newcomer donating is a warning sign to me.

Oh I totally agree, however, not all Sythe members see it like we do. They see $$$ , therefore, = trust. Sad but the truth.

 

Lowest donation amount in order to get SVU is $25+

My best advice is obtain vouches and have patience. Open your spectrum to a few different services so you're able to obtain more vouches. After that, it just takes time. Be patient and keep working at it. Let the vouches stack up and before you know it, you'll have your first 100, 200... etc vouches.

Just be patient and friendly. You'll see people will slowly begin to trust you.

What really helped me back in the day was getting $200 - $300 donor rank then just doing trades and getting vouches.

For you I would suggest donating $100 - $200 and keep trading with people and get your vouch count up.

 

I'd just like to reinforce what Dunworry said. Being patient and friendly goes a long way to getting repeat customers & more vouches. Don't put a time limit on things ("100 vouches by ___") but make sure you try to get a vouch from every service you do.

If you do donate 100-200$ don't expect older members to trust you any more than if you still had 5$ donor status. It will make a big difference when trading with new members so it could be worthwhile in some markets.

I got to where I am today without donating a penny to the site but I did invest in a thread layout from an old friend. If your threads look professional you'll get more sales. If you want to do something long-term definitely look into getting a thread layout made from someone in the graphics section.

 

Just be active and posting for around 6 months to a year, gain at least 20 vouches through successful trades, and you have earned most people's trust.
