free modscore

I think you have a misconception of which actions we get score for

I ended up having to buy my modscore from Govind back when I was on staff. You're expected to do ~100 scam reports and ~400 post reports every two weeks as a market mod, it's seriously such a racket.

More bitter about the time I wasted when I was active.

 

What did you miss out on?

 

Btw he was just as active as any mod during their first year.

 

It was kind of a hyperbole. When I look at how time I wasted spending 10+ hours most days on this site, Runescape, LoL, Reddit, etc. instead of pushing my self to enjoy life I can't help but feel a little regretful or guilty.

Yeah I feel that dude, my pardon was about the time when I had started making some of those changes.

 

Reasoning behind my first demotion:

I was 18? and homeless during the summer (mostly couch-hopping), spent the last 3 months of my modship with declining activity due to all that was going on in my life. I kept trying to resign but Ryan wanted to keep me on so I stayed at his request. Just randomly got demoted one day despite that.

 

Lol jacky, that thread has a lot going on, but accuracy is not one of them. There are many errors on there that it should be used as a guideline, not proof.

Btw, sypherz had a good year before demotion the first time around. I wasn't here for round two.

I know what you mean about the inaccuracies though, in that thread sypherz is in the list of all off topic mods twice lol

 

I think I was everything but community mod. Not sure why I didn't get that, I have such a sparkling personality.

Damn, I'm remembering the first time I got promoted now. Spent an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't log on until I hopped on IRC. Fucking magical experience ahah. Miss those days.

Yah. Assuming I can talk about it because we don't use it anymore, you would get a blank error page if you tried to go to Sythe.org unless you entered this huge javascript code in the address bar. Was such a pain in the ass especially on mobile.

That JavaScript was such a pain it the ass. What was funny is that members would just get promoted without being told about it. Still remember some of them shitting bricks when they didn't know what was going on.

I was shocked to find that modscore isn't based on mod actions anymore but literally doing reports and disputes and stuff. It's a custom addition. Each thing is worth a certain number of points.
