I've been listening to a lot of classic rock lately. My current truck doesn't have an aux cord so I've been listening to the radio the last few months while driving, and I've mainly been listening to this killer classic rock station and I've been seriously digging it so I figured I'd share some of my current favorites. Feel free to share yours, too.

I've been listening to a lot of Jethro Tull recently.

I absolutely adore the entirety of Thick as a Brick.

Sure do. Aqualung was one of Bruce Dickinson's influences.

I remember when I was playing Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock and I found the song "Black Magic Woman" by Carlos Santana. After the song I walked to my dad and said: "Have you ever heard of Carlos Santana?" My dad started laughing and showed me all his Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Santana, Pink Floyd (Dark side of the moon) LP's etc :D.

Till this day Carlos Santana is still my favorite guitarist

I like Country Joe and the Fish, Wizard, Led Zep, Eric Clapton/Cream, Faces/Rod Stewart, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, so much classic rock. It's such a huge influence on my life.

Can't go wrong with CCR or the doors. I recently downloaded a big CCR playlist for when I'm driving.

Frank Zappa! I remember one time I was in a band, and after one of our shows, a guy told me we reminded him of frank zappa. we didn't play anything even remotely like frank zappa but it was a hella sick compliment

yeah lol guitar hero and rock band introduced a lot of people to classic rock like that. esp. "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas.

i also freaking love santana. oye como va is one of my fav tunes to just chill and lay back to

I actually love the song "Money for Nothing". Dire Straits have a really unique sound. Most of it is that nice clean guitar with fast little licks. Love it.

Yea my favorites are: Money for Nothing, Sailing to Philadelphia, What it is, Sultans of Swing, but especially Sailitng to Philadelphia is great.

Also: not necessarily rock, but most definitely Dad music:

Note: Recently started to listen to the old stuff again, so great.

Let's keep this thread alive, good to see a lot of other people can also appreciate this kind of music <3

I actually have a very similar story. Most of my love for Classic/"Dad" Rock (ACDC, Led Zep, Jethro Tull, Queen, etc.) comes from memories of Rockband 2/Guitar hero III/Guitar Hero World Tour, etc (i've played all of them)
