cards are a little tricker than I recalled

the white cards count a deck-per-thread which means running a query at point of bbcode render

the greencards count a deck-per-post which is easier

however as already pointed out I should do ipaudit preferentially so I've just commented out cards for now. I'll re-implement them later. They just come up as blank [card][/card] at the moment

 

so ipaudit system is a pain to re-implement

previously it used a bunch of database triggers and stored procs but these will clutter the cluster and could produce deadlocks etc so I will rewrite it in php

essentially on every major action (successful login, post and PM) the IP and userid and applicable post/pm id recorded in the ipauditing table.

So I will write a xenaddon that extends in those three areas.

The other half of it is the lookup system. There's three places it's used from memory: registration to check if the user has previously registered. Staff-facing IP Audit and user-facing ip audit (which has incomplete IPs with hashes)

 

had to update the ipsearch table for innodb (i.e. cluster) friendly operation

reimporting data into it now with a couple of new columns. import seems to be going ok.

going to write the three primary components of the ipsearch addon as discussed above next

 

patched the sandbox to alter SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] to the IP connecting to cloudflare (otherwise xen will think all users are cloudflare)
