you remind me of every time I accidentally type memecached instead of memcached

 

currently testing new version of memcached with libmemcached to setup sasl and sharding

 

memcache sharding and sasl working well

finishing up configuring /testing php sessions to use it and xenforo sessions as well

 

As usual the dill-pickles who write xenforo have not made hooks for extending the cache classes. In this case I need to add sasl support to the memcached client class... which is just one line. However I don't want to modify xen's files because these will be overriden in an official update. I will try inject sasl support via sandbox

 

There's a bug in runkit. can't override methods in system classes even with the correct phpini settings. Extremely annoyed. I've made a small (one-line) code change to the Zend_Cache_Backend_Libmemcached class as a last resort. I will have to reapply this every time we upgrade xenforo now.

 

libmemcached appears to be setup correctly and working on all nodes with sasl, sharding and php session storage

currently adding etag caching to the blob system to speed image loading up

These are importing correctly now. They just needed a template refresh.

Haven't made a start on these yet. I want to do more usability fixes first (css and caching/speedup)

 

Giving first early access to moes, our security team leader.
Once I've done a few more style fixes etc I'll give CDT and the rest of the security team early access next. (Probably in a day or so.)

 

Will be mostly a lot of use-case and stress testing. Like try to send a PM to yourself or 500 users, etc. but also a round up of all the style fixes and other bugs that I've missed.

I'll give you guys at least a few days in there (probably a week) so you can write guides etc. and that'll give me time to fix stuff you find too.
