Have you ever been scammed?

Quite a few times when I was very young and just entered the blackmarket scene. Live and learn, luckily they weren't big scams (lost maybe $200ish total).

Yes ive been scammed. When ppl see you in need or despair they will try there best to fool you!

 

I've been scammed a handful of times.. it's the shittiest feeling, but you know that Karma will kick their ass in the long run.

 

If you count chargebacks scamming, then yeah. Really sad :\ try do them a favor and steal their money for video game coins and they dare and try and take it back? Preposterous!

In all honesty, Paypal sucks and people suck. Scammers suck. I hate people lol.

 

Many times but you just have to forget about it and move forward. Legit people will always be multiple steps ahead of scammers.

Sure, some scammers have made bank, and 9/10 of them think they are smarter than the average person.

But they forget one thing, money is not everything.

 

If this counts, then yes!

 

Not directly "scammed" as it was my fault, but I have traded an imposter a sizeable chunk of gold when I first started dicing back in the day. Lesson learned, add all imposters to ignore, and turn trade on friends only.

 

In my child/teenhood. But I'm done putting myself in situations where it's liable to occur again. If it happens again it will be a real life deep trust betrayal, which I hope doesn't happen.

 

When I was 13 I got lured on Runescape. Didn't lose too much though, looking back. That scam, however, had taught me to not fully trust others.

 

When I was 11 my parents wouldn't buy me Runescape membership because they thought it was a scam (so paranoid..). So, being a desperate 11 year old I went to castle wars where I met some members who were in a Rune armor clan. One of the guys was wearing my all time favorite boots (white colored boots), we talked for a bit, I told him I had 80 mining (I actually got the legitimately, I know.. 11 years old and already a nerd) and he said he'd trade me his account for mine. So I did it, we exchanged details and I managed to log onto his account, I changed the password and everything. I was super ecstatic because I had 20 or so days of membership left and my white boots with rune armor on. Anyway, long story short I was on the account for 4 hours exploring members worlds, when I logged off he recovered the account and I never got my own account back. Looking back at it now, it was worth it (I stopped playing RS after that though, I converted to Silab and RSPS and then to League and CS:GO).

 

Have had a few issues with chargebacks before, the amounts were no where near what some of you had to deal with though so I guess I'm grateful.

 

When I first started in the sythe market I got wrecked multiple times by scammers. It's a dog eat dog world out here.

Yes I did I trusted people when I was new to trading but eventually I learned from them.

 

I got scammed in 07 for about 800m. My best friend and I were merching partners, both of us had around the same back of about 1.5b. He asked for 800m because he said someone at the arena wanted to sell him items that he had won at the arena. We had done this plenty of times before so I thought nothing of it. Once I gave him the money he had claimed to have bought the items and went to sleep before selling the stuff and when I had gotten on in the morning he had magically been "banned" for rwt and blamed it on the 800m that I had given him even thou we had done that numerous times before.

 

Got chargebacked $90 once and then some kid went through 2 hours of trouble to scam me 200m gp. The things ppl will go through to scam amazes me.

 

a long time ago, in the real 2007 runescape. never again tho...its always too good to be true
