Confirmed deadman is turning seasonal

RIP Prices, RIP Deadman, RIP it all!

Confirmed on stream starting April/March Deadman will be a seasonal gamemode with 1 world staying the same deadman.

Will you be switching to seasonal or staying in perm?

That's what I was saying from the start... So happy I'm going to be in the race again! Wonder what this'll do to the prices? What will people pay for seasonal deadman gp?

 

I'll be playing the first season to see how far I can get just because I was a week late to DMM and lost out on a lot of potential progress because of that. Probably won't be playing beyond that because continually starting from scratch and having to do all those quests over and over again will be a huge pain. Also, don't know how good of an idea it is to split the playerbase considering how dead the worlds are only six weeks after release..

 

The awesome thing is is that I think the seasonal gamemode will bring BACK the players who quit because it was too hard. The nostalgia/race/competition was the best feeling in DMM, and that died about 3 weeks in. I'm just happy I won't waste time getting barrows gloves again xD.

 

I'll be playing seasonal probably going to go for a high rank this time around as well, possibly top 5 if I can pull it off.

 

I missed the launch of Deadman on the current version of the game, and have been hesitant to give it a go since. I'll try the new season when it comes out, but I can't see myself playing the game properly.

Will make the gold trading market very awkward.

 

Look, already 2 people coming back to DMM, and that's only from Sythe from a list of users who even bother to post. Imagine the whole community? 2k people will be on for launch, for sure.

Will people buy more gold because it resets every 3 months, or will people not buy gold because it resets every 3 months?

 

I think it'll prevent people from investing too heavily into the game, i.e. small amounts of gold to give individuals a head start is one thing, even if it means the gold will be lost. Ultimately though I guess we won't be able to tell until the first season.

 

I'll 100% be playing next season, I missed out on the start of DMM and never really bothered playing since it's harder to start when people are already geared up and killing you.

 

I honestly can't see dmm lasting in the years to come

I think alot of people will always buy during the start of every season, everyones gonna want the gold to get d claws

 

That's not necessarily true because if you buy a lot and get a huge lead, you can later swap your dmm back to 07 for a profit.

 

I figure everyone will be moving to seasonal because (1) It allows all the low levels to start fresh on a level playing field and (2) There might be changes and new items and whatnot.

Even the people with really nice accounts on the current server will simply have no one left to kill, and they'll move over as well.

 

Not sure how good this will be, we'll see I guess.

1 world for the current deadman is a joke... That will be dead. Seasonal I dunno, I feel Jagex just messed up some of the main idea and are trying to mend mistakes by starting new seasons.
As for me will I play, probably not. Dont like starting over and over.
