Need some tips from high elo players

Hey, so I'm pretty much looking for someone that could take their time and watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7P26OzaPR8 and give me some feedback on it. Bare in mind that playing vs the enemy teamcomp as Zed is very annoying & rather hard.

I'm not a mid lane player but bear in mind it is generally a bit easier to give advice on losing games, as there are more obvious spots to direct advice towards (i.e. where the game was lost).

Dropping D1/master tier player here, I see a few issues, at the 24 minute mark you are 6-2, grouping mid was silly especially vs their comp at that time, you should of built QSS for vlad and gone bot, resulting in your team getting baron if they were smart or siegeing mid... For minutes you guys keep trying to get mid turret and cant really do much against their comp which is where you should be split pushing.
Ok at 28 minutes you start to split which is good (not sure why they didn't send vlad to you)...
Overall it was good, you built right and positioning was okay, but when you were tfing I think your main priority is soraka, even try to suicide for it, because the likelihood is either you kill her quickly or zilean ults her - rendering zilean useless and in those precious seconds your team can clean up maybe go for a GA last item in that instance, but wp.

Out of curiosity how you finding season 6 pre season? Not been on lately kind of bored of it

 

I just want patch 5.24 to be over and 6.0 to hit the servers this patch is really getting annoying (trundle OP, zed very strong, ap mids not as good etc) some other op's too and annoying champs like Tahm etc.

Edit: and not to mention quinn.

 

From levels 1-4, you'll want to be csing with Q; you don't need to poke him down at all, don't bother with that. At level 5, you'll want to start warding up a side and shoving lane with shadow while trying to poke him down.

NEVER back before your opponent mid unless you absolutely have to. When you killed elise, you should've went back to lane. This would've given you an xp advantage, which is crucial mid.

At level 5, you need to be cautious of your exp meter and how many minions the Zilean has killed. You will need to shove faster THAT wave (to hit 6) and ult him upon leveling. The fact that you killed elise easily gave you the xp advantage.

Even if you didn't kill him, you'd either force a back, pop his flash, or both. This way, you get to all in, shove to tower, and burn a summoner/get a kill at the same time. Success/fail, you recall after your all in.

well 2 days ago i looked at the riven game, i just closed everything all together when i saw how you were at fault for ur junglers death. (the first takedown around toplane)
i remember that the key problem was that you did not understand
Lane trading. (trade objectives and why you should trade when and how)
and the key thing that enhanced this problem was the lack of knowledge of how the minion interacted, you literally messed up the gank that was coming for you cause of your mismanagement of the wave, not understanding the damage of the minions, and you seemed not to really change pace or playstyle for that single minion that lvled you up to 2 and had a possible spike on him.
now riven is a very hard champion possibly not a champ you should play, but one thing is for sure, those general points about laning holds true for you as a player, not a champion. You might of thought all along it was your junglers fault who died in that riven game, first take down (i didnt want to watch any further than that) but it actually was yours.

You may even go as far to say he coulda seen 3 waves hitting me and shoulda stopped. Well, junglers arent mind readers, you told him a minute or couple prior if i remember correctly "come top fast" cause you were unsure, or unconfident in your ability to win the matchup. clearly shown as you wrote it as you lost a trade.

np for mini lesson, or more so troubleshooting, i havent helped you how to get better but only identified some very key problems youve got.

First of all, top (together with support) is probably my worst role, I was last pick (I pref mid/adc). Now, they picked rumble so I thought why not play riven (could go riven/jax, we) I don't main riven at all but I do play her a lot in normals and I'd like to say I am decent at her, know some tricks etc.

Rumble, I'd max my e then q farm it out and wait for a tp gank. They last picked renekton though and Rumble ended up going jungle.

I have no clue how to play vs a "good" renekton (like I said I just play riven in normals which is usually gold elo anyway) as riven.

When my reksai walked up, there was a huge wave of minions, how am I supposed to leave that there and walk up to renekton?

Also you're telling me to control the minion wave, I usually pay attention but I don't think I could have beaten renekton in a 1v1 even if I did push it harder earlier, I'd simply die to his empowered w (that ability is stupid)

How would you have played it (from start to finish) tank his damage and push?

 

That was the original Zed game I was looking at. He shouldn't be trying to poke the Zil.

 

Debatable, if a zed lands his shurikens + W, zilean being naturally squishy will force him out of lane and deny him CS, he should of zoned behind the second to last minion wave and poked with W+Q, also after rushing hexdrinker could of easily of won exchanges, or forced an ult.

 

not really advice or tips rather an opinion.
I don't play mid much but when I don't play zed, I think his kit is very small and has to have very good positioning which is hard because it has to be different for every comp and situation.
I just want to say I have a high success with LeBlanc and veigar which In my Opinion are 2 of the best and safest mid laners. One of the best things about these champs is that EVEN if you are behind and lose lane you can still provide a LOT of support with your CC and you can encourage a lot of mistakes with these champions. People running at you to engage you can see that and get that combo very easily with lb to assassinate someone and with veigar you can 1 shot someone with your ult and set up your cage so the other team CAN'T engage, it will be a big mistake if they do in most area's of the map. These champions damage are not qss-able unlike zed's ult.
That's just my 2cents I don't want to dig in too much.

 

My #1 fav champion is Ahri (for ranked midlane) she has pretty much everything, burst, sustain damage, sustain (healthwise), dashes, I'm pretty much in love with her.

I have kind of an issue when playing for ELO on my main, I play pretty much all roles (although I must say I don't really play support at all, if I do it's lulu and I do completly fine.) but I don't play 1 role particulary well. I'm just an all rounder player that fills without an actual purpose. Some weeks I'll try adc others I'll try jungle etc.

What would you suggestion be regarding chosing 1 role and sticking to it? I don't feel like I can actually improve until I have a role to stick to (and I guess a filler role). Or should I wait until season 6 arrives to make up my mind?

You should definitely have a role which you main and that should be the role you have the best winrate at. OP.gg your account. Apart from that I'd recommend having 2 main roles 1 being the main and the other being the secondary main role. Although I talk asif I know about people maining roles, if its good or not, I honestly don't know this is just my opinion, filling might be good for some people and bad for others but It just doesn't seem logical to me and might be extremely hard as each individual role is very unique. So I'd imagine learning one role and getting good at it is better than filling.
Also, I heard ahri was really good but it felt like to me that she lacks damage to be honest but idk I hardly play mid.

 

My thing would be to just focus on lane and my own Cs I wouldn't worry about my team but winning my own lane and looking for ganks whenever my opp backs just really trying to crush my lanes most of the times wins us the game.. Very stressful tho
