What to do on a long Flight.

Anyone got any tips or recommendations on what to do on long Flights?

Example: Going from USA -> Europe ?
Q) What movies to watch to keep yourself busy?

 

Listen to music, play some sort of video game (handheld device or app on cell phone), watch movies, read books, etc. Lots of things to pass the time, you just need to decide what entertains you the most

 

Definitely sleep, watching multiple movies in a row is extremely tiring, especially in a flight.

 

If you're on a piece of shit airline that doesn't have screens on the seats, then just load a device of yours with a bunch of movies. Goes faster than you think. Interstellar and any other Nolan movies are good because they're entertaining and long as fuck.

 

Just download a few movies you'd enjoy, and take turns watching movies, listening to music, reading, and sleeping. A mixture of all of them makes the time fly.

 

Just took an 8 hour bus ride, and I have to say, Pokemon is a life saver. Got a few badges knocked out in Platinum, was really fun ^-^

DS + platinum + fire red + emerald for like 110$ or so. Pricey, but well worth the memories and nostalgia.

 

Or you could download an emulator on your smartphone for free

flying on an airline or some shit called Emrits with advanced shit so I'm not sure if it has entertaining stuff just a wild guess.

I personally just love to listen to music and maybe watch a few movies if I feel the need.

 

I've never been on a flight for such a long amount of time, but probably just do what I always do at home, watch an entire TV series season. I can literally be sitting at home starting a new season, and 8 hours later realise I'm nearly finished it.

 

I take 14 hour flights every year. You're pretty much good to go on the airplane without bringing anything as every overseas airline has a monitor with games, movies, and TV Shows. Laptop with games is pretty fun. I have a Wii U that I can play on the gamepad since all you need is a powersource because the TV screen is built into the Wii U gamepad. Like stated above, any handheld device whether it may be a DS or an iPad will hold loads of fun.

Personally though, I never find myself doing this for more than 2-3 hours. It's just me because I'm a super heavy sleeper, I've slept the entirety of a 12 hour flight once, only to wake when food was available.

 

Emirates?

I go on them a lot, both Economy and business/first class have TV screens on every flight with a great entertainment system. Get on the flight and pick what you feel like doing/watching then. Their in-flight entertainment system was voted the best for 10 years running, so you don't need to worry.

 

Yea i been trying to find good reviews. Honestly can't take long flights..
I heard they have a list of movies but I'm not sure where to see what movies they have available on my flight. Also a question to you since you traveled on it before. Do they have like charging ports to charge laptop/phone? That true? Wifi?

 

Watch every one of casey neistats vlog's. Maybe watch netflix and binge watch something (like dexter or breaking bad) if theres wifi on the plane?

 

im not sure if netflix works where I'm going lol. Im going blind i only packed things that will interest me so far. I got pokemon , some movies, my laptop.

Usually WiFi is a paid option, like $15 or something.

Some flights have power outlets, most don't. Bring a big battery bank and have your devices charged before you get on.

Food really depends. On most long flights breakfast/lunch/dinner is provided depending on what time you're in the air. They usually serve very light snacks and refreshments. You can buy extra on the flight but its usually debit/credit only so don't expect to pay with cash. Its better to pack some snacks or buy something once you pass security.

Draw/sketch
Sleep
Talk to the person you're sitting next to if they're friendly

Long flights aren't really that bad.

 

I heard you can't after pokemon's copyright was renewed. My old emulator stopped working

 

nah there are still a lot of illegal emulators out there that don't necessarily follow the rules

 

FUCK! Got to find another emulator. So far i been using OpenGL on my Girlfriend's macbook and fire red is running fine .
