Have you ever been scammed?

Got scammed 900M 07, along with 100$ 2 50$ pre paid cards and a maxed 07 account.

"the maxed account was rented out for the first time he paid 5.5m for 5 hours and 2m for the deposit.
He went and botted those 5 hours and got banned.

 

I've been scammed a couple times in my Runescape career unfortunately. But those times getting scammed definitely made me a smarter and more aware person when it comes to money.

 

Yeah. Got scammed for like 100$.

 

The only time I've gotten scammed was on runescape 10 years ago when a person I was trading with switched out a rock hammer for a gmaul when trading him.

 

First trade on sythe I got scammed. Recovered the account. Was a forum addict too.

 

Pretty silly to ask who has been scammed: Pretty much everyone on here has. Let's see how much I've been scammed (just off the top of my head):

1 -- 1,200M RS3 @ 0.42-44$/m at the time
2 -- 900M RS3 @ 0.35-37$/m at the time
3 -- 2,000M RS3 @ 0.42-44$/m at the time
4 -- 300M RS3 @ 0.42-44$/m at the time
5 -- 500M RS3 @ 0.42-44$/m at the time

I know for a fact there was more too

 

The vast majority of those were in your early times, right? Like that's some serious dollar to get ripped off.

I've been scammed, but never too a large extend. A few of my earlier trades didn't go to plan, but they were all for relatively small amounts, all under $50, most under $20.

 

Pretty sure everyones been scammed.

I don't even remember what I've been scammed of, probably some RS gold or something, nothing from this site.

 

If losing an account counts, I've lost an account which could have easily sold for 1k$+. Old friend of mine turned out to not be such a good friend in the end.

When it comes to items I was scammed for about 300k when I was really new to RS, but that's about it.

 

Same, although the reason for this partially is I don't trade a lot here on Sythe. Did at first but now I only lurk the markets every so often

 

paypal disputes when i would sell gold and accounts..

got an xbox acc that i bought scammed from me by the middleman. the worst part was as soon as I got it I put a $60 12 month card on it, and then it got jacked so I probably lost about $100 at the time.

the real kicker is that acc would probably be worth like $200 now, and for whatever reason the guy who jacked it never even used it after ??

Bought account from a guru ranked member with loads of vouches that I had checked and were legit. I was just unlucky he decided I was the last trade he wanted to do. Oh well onwards and upwards

 

I've been scammed quite a bit from loaning people and just small amounts from friends early in my Runescape days. Nothing too notable though.

Three times when I was a retarded child.

 

A few times, a few on site and a few off-site. Also been scammed by 'friends'.

 

Most sythe members have been scammed at least once.

I've only been scammed once and that was when I was a newcomer, I am now smarter so I doubt I would ever allow someone to scam me. I'm waaaaay to cautious now.

at the time mods/admins waaaay understated danger in buying accs

 

Back when Rs2 first came out I got scammed for full iron lol
