    RWT vs Swapping?

How does Jagex know whether or not you're RWTing or simply Swapping? Since Swapping isn't against their TOS, do people get mistakenly banned for RWT for simply swapping gold?

Its a possibility but I think they would check logins from your IP. So if you swapped 10M 07 on a different account they could check if another account logged into RS3 shortly after and was traded say 50M.

Each login would be recorded id assume. The process of checking would be similar to rwt checking. How they do that I do not know.

They don't distinguish between the two often. They tend to just focus on the big companies and big goldsellers. If you get caught up trading one of them when you're only swapping, you can be banned.

    RWT vs Swapping?

I believe trading with the more bigger named or real world trading accounts are riskier.

For instance even if you're swapping, trading with say Bogla, is a risk because their heavily involved with RWT.

Alternatively I've heard big amounts of either swapping say in one go; is also a risk, hence why a lot of legitimate swapping services offer increments so you can be safe when swapping. However those bigger companies tend to not do as minimal increments as swappers do, because their always scared of getting banned, because they rwt.

I really believe people get banned for real world trading when swapping because they use some of the big gold sellers. How will they know if it's a swap or an gold deal?

They might investigate it further, but I highly doubt it.

I don't think your account is at a very high risk trading with them. It's more or less the heavy traffic that goes through their mules that causes Jagex concern, and gives them indication that it's not just simple swapping going on.

I havnt heard about anybody getting banned for buying/selling low amounts of gold, only if they have openly admitted it. Like there was some girl stream who said she had bought or sold 100m, and got a 2 week ban. I remember people being very mad that it wasnt a perm ban. After some while a jmod replied that little amounts doesnt grant a perm ban.

I wish i could remember the streams name, so i could dig up the post.

I am not sure how the differentiate it, but I have done both activities a shit load and have not been banned ever. So its safe to say the ban rate is very low for both swapping and rwt.

I think what happens is that when large amounts do occur they flag the accounts to be monitored, and then depending on the login IPs they can determine if its RWT or swapping.

(although they clearly messed up cause oakdice was banned for rwt!!!111)

Selling/buying gold isn't that hard to figure out. Also jagex isn't too concerned with the buyers. It's the companies that sell like bogla. You won't believe how much go runs through their accounts.

Anyways its not that hard to create an algorithm to tell the difference. There's a pattern for rwt and one for swapping. Not that hard I believe.

Yeah I know they target the buyers, but how can they differentiate say Bogla from Soul Swap or Snailex's swap shop? They all trade such high amounts of money, you can't simply look and say it's obvious, no?

Receiving bans for Rwt are extremely rare. However in the early days of 07 users did receive bans for swapping. Jagex banned zuziel for a extremely large amount a few years ago. He was a Home host a believe and didnt rwt on his swapping account. Ive been a ddyce host and sold easily 60b+ of my own gold. I only ever received a ban when i sold gold to Bluesky. The chinese dont use any precautions when selling gold. However most English speaking gold sellers use vpn's and safer trading practices. Ive worked for r2p since september and we've only experienced 2 of our accounts being banned in the same day. We've yet to have any of our customers complain about bans either. Swapping large gold sites like R2pleasent is safe. Avoid the chinese as much as possible unless you are a gambling man.
