    Scammer's profile link: http://www.sythe.org/members/361178-chicken-noodle.html

Reason for reporting: User claims to have 100+ vouch's. When i looked into him doing some questing service for me i realized he had less then half stated. I added him and questioned him about it.

This user works for a company called UPE. They do skilling and other runescape related trades. UPE hires people to do the questing and skilling services. They all work under the umbrella of UPE. People vouch for the services on their main thread. These vouch's are for the company not individuals. Yet he collects vouch's and adds them to his page as if they are his own personal vouch's and NOT UPE's. Now if this is the case then as a employee of http://r2pleasent.com/ i could have people vouch on our threads and then move them to my own personal vouch thread. Our employee's would have thousands of vouch's in a matter of weeks. I dont believe this should be allowed as it misrepresents trust to unsuspecting sythe users. Either the vouch's belong to the company as a whole or the individual not both. They are double dipping

Employees can use vouches for the service as long as they were the ones to complete the work. It can also be used for the business itself, but the business can't use the employee's vouches that were from sources other than the business.

Make sense? It's weird, but it works out.

I believe so. I'll check with someone else, but that's how I've seen it done in the past, and the rules don't explicitly state otherwise. As long as you're the one conducting the trading and the vouch is accurate (not misleading) you should be fine.

I'll check with g+ just to make sure.

i would say no, this should not be allowed. there's no way to verify that he's done all the things his vouches claim he's done. the owner of the services should collect the vouches, not the workers themselves.

my opinion is that the vouch should be given to EITHER the owner of the service OR the worker. not both. i agree that double dipping with vouches should not be allowed.

if this is the case, then i'm fine with the way UPS is dealing with vouches. if there's any double-counting going on it should be stopped.

hattez - did you find any vouches on both people's vouch threads? or is this more about the claim that he's got 100+ vouches when he has fewer?

My claim only centered around them collecting vouch's as a company and individual. lets say for instance one of them scammed. Would the company be responsible or the the individual? The company would be because he was working under their name. If this is how you choose to handle the vouch system get ready for several members to have thousands of vouch's. Employee's of ALL the major gold selling companies who handle the purchases, verification and deliveries can collect the vouch's as well as the company. I think if you are paid to work for a company then the work completed under their name belongs to the company it self. Now considering GodsGensis owns/created UPS these vouch's belong on his threads/company thread. You must realize the potential danger of allowing workers the ability to collect mass vouch's using Large Companies feedback and credibility. Can lead to large scams.

Hattez is correct in this instance. Employees are an extension of a company, not a different entity, and as such cannot record individual vouches as those belong to the company. I'll notify Chicken Noodle of this.

talked this through with staff, and ghast's decision is shared by several of us. if you're working for a larger entity, your work, and thus your vouches, belong to that larger entity as well. the parallel with "who's responsible if you get scammed?" that hattez makes is a good one.

still discussing this. will leave open until more folks weigh in

I just want it known that this wasnt a direct attack at UPS or its employee's directly. I just noticed that one of their employee's was doing this. They have great service and took the time to message me personally regarding this issue. Glad staff shared my same concerns and hopefully this will be the standard for all companies and employee's vouch's.

We totally understand, and I'm glad you brought the issue up. It might take awhile to actually get everyone's opinions as it's the busy season, but we are working on it.

My thoughts, the only vouch that really should come from a business onto a worker's profile would be from the owner with feedback on how he works on the team.

No individual should be collecting vouches from a business. The business gets vouched, not the worker.
