Windows 7 or Windows 10?

Bought a new ssd

go for windows 7 or windows 10?

 

What you using your PC for?

 

Id say windows 10 buts thats just me, other people have other opinions

 

I will be using my PC to play games, skype, and browsing websites. This PC was recently bought this year and was pre installed with windows 8.1.

im never going to use dx12 anytime soon

 

Windows 8.1 should be fine. I only upgraded to 10 because my skype kept bugging out, and I have to say, it's annoyingly slow. Stick with 8.1 if you can.

 

If your pc is crap (slow) using 8/8.1, then definitely upgrade to windows 10, cos its made my life a hell of a lot more easier.

I'd say Windows 10, 7.. seems so outdated.

 

I tried to buy 8.1 with my new build but newegg didnt have it. Idk if they are still selling it at other places

 

Windows 10. If your PC came with 8 then you'll have a world of driver issues trying to downgrade. Not only that, but 10 is simply the superior OS.

Either your PC is shit or you upgraded instead of fresh and didn't bother doing a bit of maintenance post-install. There is no reason for 10 to run slower than 8, like at all. They're built the exact same way at their core.

 

If going with Windows 7 on a UEFI board, do you suggust that I install with Legacy/MBR or UEFI/GPT?

 

Windows 7 all the way tbh. Best operating system out there IMO.

While I prefer navigating windows 7 because I'm used to it, gotta recommend 10. Feels faster/more responsive and boot times on my SSD are much faster. Takes some getting used to but the features are worth it.
