    First number: Course is worth 2 units. Second number: I've completed 2 units of the course. Third number is the grade: 1-3 are fail grades. 4 is a technical pass. 5 is a credit, 6 distinction, 7 high distinction. Final number is the grade multiplied by the units which is used to calculate GPA.

    5 year double major or did you go back for another 4 years? Mad respect either way, my family has a very extensive background in comp sci and wanted me to enter the field but I was really discouraged because of all the math and physics courses. Now that I look back on it I sort of regret it since my uncle was the VP of Microsoft and stepped down (replaced by his cousin) so he could be the CPO of ANSYS and I was basically guaranteed a 6 figure job right out of college :/

    If you got any advice like the ol' "Anyone can learn it and do well" you should help a brotha out

    Wow really? Those are some good connections.

    Anyone with an IQ in the top quartile can quite easily do it. Having tutored for many years I noticed time and again that average intelligence students struggle a lot with the advanced (2nd year+) programming and mathematics courses. Despite platitudes you probably grew up with, these are not stumbling blocks you can just overcome via practice. A lack of the necessary cognitive aptitude is as much a problem for the programmer or physicist as the lack of stature is for a basketball player.
