Add A Few More LoL Boosting Verifiers

As of now, there are only two LoL Verifiers for each region, and the verifiers overlap. The ones who I have contacted are too busy (which I understand) to verify me and others who have posted in the thread. Why not have a few more verification users who are trusted in the LoL boosting community? Some of the people in the thread have posted a month ago but haven't been verified. Maybe award a new verification minirank as an incentive. Having more people verify users will mean more people get verified in a timely manner. Thoughts?

 

Who exactly can verify a new booster? I feel 2 per region would be plenty, you'll just need to nudge them a bit and become available when they are.

 

Are the current verifiers of a certain tier, e.g., challenger? I wouldn't mind adding an additional person who can verify people as there seems to be a backlog on verifications. I'd suggest contacting Sellerman or Blade on this though.

 

I do not believe the current members are challenger, however, they are Diamond +. Honestly anybody who is trusted in the boosting community who is Diamond + would be a great prospect for verifying people. I just feel that we really need more people to do this since I always see an enormous backlog of people every time I visit the section.

Anybody who is Diamond+ and is trusted in the boosting community would be a great candidate. And 2 per region is not enough for the number of verification requests. If you visit the thead, you'll see there is always a large backlog of people waiting.

 

I'll go ahead and send a PM to Sellerman and Blade - they're the two staff members with the most knowledge about LoL

 

I'm pretty sure when they verify you, you're verified to whatever your rank is stated on your boosting thread. For example if you're platinum 1, you can still get verified, as long as your thread states you're platinum 1.
Maybe a new system approach to separate the Challengers from the Diamonds and Diamonds from the Platinum?
Not sure how you would implement that, but just a thought.

 

Oi! I've been working on a new verification system on my own time that's going to be an overhaul of the one we're using now, and focus on expanding our grip on the LoL markets, as a few of staff including myself believe that we need to reach out beyond the Runescape markets.

Either way, you'll have to bear with us for a bit, I'm hopefully going to be talking to Dave (We're both busy on opposite schedules) to get this thing all figured out by mid-late next week.

I only do OCE however. I've asked multiple people in the past if they are interested in doing NA/EU, but no one has the time/wants to.

Verifying someone also involves knowing their account name, so I can't just pick anyone.

 

Usually from what I've seen people are verified as a rank, you're not verified as a booster. (e.g. a verifier will post on a thread, verified as a D5 booster, or verified as a Masters booster).

Honestly it just needs to be someone I think D3+ (who can recognize skill from a Challenger to Plat 5 level) and trusted, and willing to take it on. Maybe if a thread was opened for people to "apply", you'd be able to find suitable volunteers for the job.

 

I had multiple threads in the past posted, where people could apply. There wasn't much interest. It's not finding people with the rank that's an issue, it's finding people with the rank, that are also trusted (key thing), and active.

However the same mini rank is given, again, unless you sift through someones thread for the post (this is assuming they didn't add it to the op), there's no way of distinguishing the Platinum from the Diamond, etc.

 

True, I didn't think of that before. From the looks of it though blade has already set up the system so that each tier will get a different verification minirank (check sandbox subforum)

 

There's a few more LoL verifiers and Sellerman will have them added whenever it's needed.
