    Anonymous releases KKK member list

If they really are members of the KKK, they got what they deserved.

And those who aren't really KKK members? Did they deserve false accusations?

    Anonymous releases KKK member list

If this is the same thing I saw, it was released by a group claiming to be associated with Anonymous. People jumped on it without fact checking.
Now, it seems that another group associated with Anonymous says that is not the list and implied that whoever released the false list was acting recklessly.

Acting without fact checking seems to be a hallmark of too many Americans.
If such a list actually exists, then let it shouldn't even be released, except for political members who are on the list.

Before I go further, the post you're referring to could be a DIFFERENT one that was released WITH fact checking and such, but the first one released was indeed not fact-checked and not by a 'real' anonymous associated group, at least, according to a proven Anonymous Associated group that is.

To have "real" freedom of speech, biggotry groups have the RIGHT to exist; and I can see if any of the members were political, like representatives or in congress, because those types of people need to be able to see all sides equally to correctly serve everyone, and thus, she be removed from office.

HOWEVER, simple office workers would most likely lose their job. For what? For believing something that is not accepted in general society. Their families, who may not even believe in racism could be thrown out of their homes, starve in the streets.... What if a man's name was on that list, even if he was a 'secret KKK member' and he had a wife and 4 kids, and lost his job, and his kids were forced to eat out of trash cans. Would that make you feel like a hero? Others suffer, and it may be considered his own fault for being a biggot, but having the freedom of speech, which is something Anonymous seems to stand for (or, at least when it suits their needs) means being able to say what you believe.

And the actual definition of a bigot is this:

"a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions."

So, just to be clear... If a person says "all bigots should die" you are being a bigot yourself. Or to be even more clear.... "I hate all bigots" is no different, morally than saying "I hate all blacks".

I've hung out with rednecks and blacks and mexicans (never all 3 at the same time obviously haha) and I can tell you from experience, just because someone IS racist, does not mean they are a bad person. My next door neighbor is one of the biggest rednecks I know, but he's a very polite, nice person. He only hangs out with other straight, white people. But if you were to ask the cashier at casey's gas station (he's a Jamaican man) what he thought of my neighbor, he'd probably tell you that he's one of the nicest people to go into the store.

So you should not feel hatred for any one 'type' of person. Racism might be frowned upon, but to "hate" a racist for simply being racist, you're being no different than he is; and that is simply something that needs to stop in this world....

If you have KKK members going out and murdering people for who they are, put them in prison. If you have a KKK member who works in an office, does his job, works hard, who doesn't actually bother anyone, leave him alone! He should NOT be punished simply for his beliefs because so many people came to America so long ago so that he could have the freedom to believe anything he wanted.

I'm a Norse Pagan, and I've met a lot of people that are so deeply christian, they are bigots and they spit hatred in my ear all the time. I live in a small town, a very small town and I've been in a lot of trouble in my life, so I'm very well known.... And when I walk down the street, past a church on Sunday, it's nothing out of the ordinary to hear at least one person call out to me, telling me I will burn in hell.

Now, while I do not believe that I should have to deal with such harassment, no one is physically harming me. It is their right as an American to believe I will 'burn in hell' and also, freedom of speech gives them the right to tell me so. You don't see me attacking these Christian Rednecks for their beliefs... And end-game, the KKK is simply Christian Rednecks, nothing more. If they go out and harm others, which is a very rare occurrence these days, they should be punished for their actions. But they should NEVER be punished for what the believe... If it's morally 'right' to punish others for what they believe, I'd probably be nailed to a cross and burnt at the stake living in this town - But I haven't.

If there are any mis-named people on that list I do feel sorry for them, otherwise it's just another strike from Anonymous.

Just put a lot of lives in jeopardy with this list, some possible innocent lives that aren't associated with the KKK might be punished for no reason.

As stated above, beliefs are beliefs, no matter how horrid/disgusting they may be.

I remember Louis Theroux followed a big white supremacist who was an ex-KKK leader. He was laughable, pretty self-important while no one seemed to care.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much at risk these people are? I'm familiar with the idea of Anon but how much influence do they have outside of stuff like these forums and reddit etc.?? Is it possible businesses would find out about this kind of stuff and take action?

With the publicity that Anon whipped up for this release, and it being an iconic day (5th of November, AKA Guy Fawkes Day), and Anon promising prominent figures to be listed, I'm sure a few large companies whose employees or leaders are listen were watching. Whether the impact on those named will be huge is too soon to tell.
