Why would people buy DMM GP?

From my understanding, if you die on DMM, you lose your bank.

What's the point of paying roughly $50/Mill for DMM GP if when you die you're going to lose it all?

I don't understand. Is there something I'm missing?

 

you can keep 10 items in a safe deposit box, or have extra cash/items on a mule that just sits in safe zone

 

Exactly. Plus, people buy gp for the regular games. People are definitely bound to buy gp for this so that they can get ahead early and enjoy it.

10 items in the SDB doesn't mean anything though, really. You can't put your cash stack in there and runes/noted count as x1 space each. The only viable option is to have mules that are within safe spots. But I agree, I don't know why people would be purchasing such high amount of gold - unless they are high levels (hard to kill by other players).

 

use the gold you buy to buy a high valued item (barrows ect) then if you die you keep it...
