Anyone know a Free anti-virus / malware

Anyone know safe free anti-virus to keep my computer protected?

Preferably from someone who knows about computers, but all answers will be appreciated.

Avast is a basic anti-virus scanner which I use for a quick clean up.

Norton can also be used but it's all down to preference and opinions.

 

Personal preferences would be avast, hitman pro(free version of pro) emsisoft and malwarebytes, check them all out and see which one(s) you like best, its not really good to have more than one at the same time so see which one suits your needs the best

 

I personally use malware-bytes, gets the job done

I use malware bytes and key scrambler. I have the pros of each, though there's free versions.

keyscrambler changes your key input a bit like enigma but not flawed. Helps if something does manage to get into your system.

A part from that just be extra careful when using the internet. Don't download random things, or things that could potentially be harmful.

 

Avast is a great free anti-virus imo. I've used it for the past 3 years and I can say (after trying out Norton for a year) it fares better than Norton.

 

Not much of a person to argue maybe your just trying to help but google provides thousands if not more links once typed in i was simply asking him if he has direct link......

Lol... again just like said to him the first link is the download link if typed into google but its a trial. I'm asking if anyone knows completely free one without having to get premium in 14 days thanks for the help though. I finally know how to use google engine because of you guys!....

Malwarebytes is free. It has a premium trial.

 

As n4n0 said, its free with a premium trial. The free version is all you need.

 

My personal preferences are to use these:

Avast
Spybot
Malwarebytes

 

Another vote for malwarebytes. I also use SUPERAntiSpyware, it's a somewhat lesser known program that is excellent at finding stuff that even malware bytes can't find.

I used avast before but it just seemed like bloatware to me.

 

I've used both Avast and Malwarebytes free version for a long time and both are very good, I'd recommend both of them. As said above though usually comes down to preferences.
