Before i go further i want to apologize if this is in the wrong location. Today i purchased a rs3 account from playerauctions. The seller changed the email to mine and i was able to change the password. At this point i was pretty happy as I was finally able to have a nice maxed account. Then i decided to look into the sellers feedback and seen an account with the same exact title as the one i just purchased, that was sold exactly 1 year ago and a few days. Im not sure if the account that I bought has the jag questions or whatever but i was able to put authenticator on. Now is the seller still able to recover this account from me and screw me over? I already talked to player auctions and they said they are working on it but i wanted to post here as you guys would know more if the seller is able to recover or not. Thank you for reading and sorry if this tread is in the wrong spot.
Err, not to worry you too much or anything but... every account can always be recovered no matter what by the original owner. Regardless how many times you change the pass, email, set up auth etc. That's one awesome thing when you make an account that don't plan on selling (All the people with 5.2B xp that never plan on selling etc) But it's a big pain in the ass for the black market when selling/buying an account since that weight will always be there. Doesn't matter if you buy off PA, sythe or any other website, the original owner can always recover.
Hey bud, first of all welcome to Sythe I think the best subforum for this would be here: http://www.sythe.org/market-discussion/ I have requested it be moved for you, so need not worry about creating a new thread. It really depends, the account you have purchased could in fact be different from that which was previously sold to the other user? Has the user got much feedback? are you able to get into contact with the, although alleged, previous purchaser to see if the account was recovered or not? With regards to the recovery of the account, no matter what you do to secure it, the account will always be recoverable. Simple as that, account purchasing is never safe. I would highly recommend that you only purchase from TRUSTED users here at Sythe. Although, this is ultimately your decision as to whom you may deem trustworthy, but I'd suggest someone with mod/omm status or 500+ vouches, at minimum. I have written a guid eon account purchasing and selling as can be viewed here: http://www.sythe.org/market-discuss...ide-purchasing-selling-runescape-account.html which may be of assistance to you. In all honesty, dependant on the person's feedback, I would steer clear from actively playing on the account or placing excessive amounts of GP thereon, as the account is likely to be recovered.
It's not looking too good then ma man. But nevertheless, you can always try and contact the previous purchaser and see if the account was truly recovered. Then I'd recommend only limiting yourself to the market here at Sythe and to purchase from someone trusted.
it looks like the account does not have security questions, is it still recoverable by origional owner now?
Buying an account is one of the most temporary things in the market. Eventually they will recover it. Either by the original owner or by whoever had it last.
The chance of "whoever had it last" recovering is slim , original owner can always 100% succesfully recover it. Doesn't PA have insurance tho?
Whenever you're purchasing an account, make sure the seller is a VERY respectable/trustworthy member of a community (eg Pa,Sythe etc). Any newcommer with just a small amount of vouches/bad quality vouches will most likely end up recovering the account they're selling. Personally I've purchased an account and gotten recovered the next day (this was like 2yr+ ago tho). Just make sure you are always purchasing, also check if the login has been sold before (Sythe has stickies for this!) Goodluck with your case.
what kind of person does this to someone.... what is funny is that on the membership page of runescape he forgot to take off his payment method which said his full name last 4 digits of credit card and expiration date...
Ah, sucks to hear that the account was recovered. These type of things are bound to happen, this is why you should stick to the market here at Sythe and take advantage of the services it has to offer. Needless to say, you will always come across ddogy people no matter what means you use to purchase the account. Limit your purchase to trustworthy indivudals. If you need help with compiling a dispute, feel free to PM me. Does PA have insurance?
I think the only insurance PA offers is the one the seller gives upon selling their account. They can give 7/14/30 day insurance, but that's it. Pa does not chargeback.
Why would you transfer all of your money into it when 5 people told you it's 100% recoverable? Seems like just another shitpost and you're getting really involved members like Asapgang to waste their time. Cool.
Cant you like get youre money back on PA?? Also, feedback is something you look at before you buy the account, not after. Guess its a lesson learned the hard way?
