Botting Questions

So I've been on and off with botting and I feel like it's time to ask the questions that have kept me from botting recently. Sorry if some of these are dumb questions, I've only botted to get requirements for skills that I hate, so nothing serious.

To start this off I'll mention I've been using TriBot, and I have quite a few bots on there but most of them have gotten me banned fairly quickly. I started with a Rock Crabs bot for strength, got me banned for about a week after a day. Then went to a TriExperiments bot, got me banned after 80 strength and 80 ranged (lasted about a week). I've used a Woodcutting bot, Agility bot, Runecrafting bot, Thieving bot and so on but I generally can't last longer than a week. I say generally because for the Agility and Thieving bot I never used them for more than a few hours. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to go about using bots for extended periods of time? I'd like to try and bot accounts to stats in the 90's but right now it doesn't seem possible.

Also, I am planning on buying a VPN. One from Logical Node specifically. Would this decrease my chances of being banned? And how should I go about starting fresh accounts and botting them immediately? Should I buy membership for them right when I make it or wait a bit?

And my last question for now is if I do use a VPN and I get banned on one of the accounts, would the first one be a 2 day or a week ban or would it go straight to permanent?

Sorry for all the questions. Would just like to be more informed before I decide to spend time on this. Thank you.

EDIT: Dammit also have one more. If I'm botting on one of the Logical Node proxies, but actually playing on a Runescape account at the same time, what are the chances of the account I'm actually playing on being banned?

 

You've got me worried now. What bots did you use on tribot? Were they premium ones?

I use a mix of both and I have been botting easily 15 hours a day for the past 2 weeks. Literally all these stats are botted and quested.

i bot 2 accounts at once, i bot one for 10/12 hours then bot the 2nd account for 10/12 hours

every few days i pay someone to quest and mix it us as much as possible, doing well so far

 

Yeah, so far every premium script I've used has gotten me banned. And surprisingly enough, none of the free ones have gotten me banned yet. But then again, I've never used a VPS. Do you use a VPS? if so which one?

That being said, I will answer your current questions.

First I think you are referring to a VPS. A different IP doesn't necessarily decrease your chances of getting banned. It just keeps your accounts from getting chain-banned. So in reality the purpose for a VPS is to run bots on a high performance system and not have it take your local computer's resources, and chain-ban.

As for getting banned and the duration, I would assume that it's 2 day ban or something, because I know many people continue using an IP for up to like 4 bans.

For your last question, if the proxy is on the client that you're using also, then there is a chance of this.

You'll need to use trial and error pretty much until you find something that works for you. Sometimes stuff that works for some people doesn't work for others. Luck plays a part too. I know someone who gets banned in 5 minutes no matter what they do (Probably a flagged IP or banned from the game permanently due to some bad stuff they did in the past) and someone who has been goldfarming 24/7 for months with very, very few bans (I'm talking single digit). If there was a special formula that worked all the time everyone would have maxed accounts.

VPNs/Proxies are used to change your IP. It's been recently (Accidentally?) leaked that Jagex does associate IPs with goldfarmers so people change them often just in case. They also prevent accounts from being linked by IP as Jon said. Whether that's a thing or not is just a guess. Again, I know people who have been successful and unsuccessful with both proxies and 1 IP.

Most bans are permanent. Over 99% of them according to Jagex statistics. The only factor I believe plays a part in shorter bans is the age of the account.

Jagex claims that if your main doesn't benefit from bots (Whether it's botted stuff traded over or some in-game benefits like Castle Wars boosting) and if you don't bot on it you shouldn't get banned. This is true for the most part although they do accidentally ban people sometimes. IP shouldn't matter however they have banned (Probably automatically) someone in the past for using a VPN associated with goldfarming and then unbanned them when they appealed via Twitter.

TL;DR: Try different stuff until something works and stick with it.
