Serious question, is this legit? Or is that image a troll made up by someone? Because if this is real, fuck that. I'm so tired of developers, not only for RS but any title, throwing in more content into the mix thinking it somehow makes the game better. Ex: Battlefield, BC2 was the best BF in my opinion. BF3 was pretty alright. BF4 was utter SHIT, and Hardline is whatever, I don't care at this point. More =/= better.

Simplicity is key, what's on that list is not simplicity.

When they were talking invention and upgrades to weapons, I was thinking of item enhancing, like what's used in Elsword and DFO. THOSE item leveling systems are actually good, ignoring the fact it's P2W, most would agree, that form of item leveling is actually quite fun, and creates a lasting goal to be achieved.

This is just Jagex trying way to damn hard, and i'm glad I haven't been sucked into this game for the umpteenth time.

I only really want to play RS for the PvP side of it, I miss the old white port, purple port wars, deep wildy PK'ing, MB, blah blah blah, still hoping one of these days some update will be released that ignites the PvP flame again.

Sadly, it doesn't look like this will do anything for that dynamic of RS and will only further the downward spiral.

 

It seems some of the people in this thread have mentioned things that seem to not be true about the skill.... I'm creating a thread about the facts and unknowns that I've found with research and will edit this post with a link to that thread when I create it.

As for what to hoard, energy from divination. When you socket an item, it no longer degrades. HOWEVER, the battery pack DOES degrade and has to be recharged with divine energy. Since the release of that info, energy price has sky-rocketed... Friend of mine bought 300m worth of energy, checked the price yesterday, and if he were to sell it now, he'll have a 150m profit.

I think Invention will bring a whole new aspect of how RuneScape is to be played, and honestly. It needs it if it's going to survive for another 5 years.

 

Super excited to see this skill! It might really help the economy get going again and help people feel like they have something to work for again!
