Thinking about making a SOTD pure.

So I've started looking into these builds and they do genuinely seem like a right laugh, just a few questions. I know attack quests are needed to speed up the process of the long grind. However, how comes digsite is needed? (Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I never quest so am clueless). Also, what would be the best way to obtain the 81 magic required? I'd assume it's teleporting until I can high alch as I heard splashing has been patched? Cheers for any answers.

 

You would need Digsite done in order to obtain the Book of darkness from Horror from the Deep (+10 magic attack). As far as training mage goes, teleporting to high alch would probably be your best bet. You can also throw in the higher level curse spells while alching depending on how much focus you're willing to put in.

 

Brilliant, didn't know that. Also one final question, how many high alchs roughly from 55-81 magic, just so I know how much it will cost

 

Using a skill xp calculator, it came out to a little over 31k alchs.

 

I think pest control would be your best bet after quests for attack training

 

you should just splash for your magic lvl's or you can alch/tele like mentioned above. to see exactly how much cast's you'll need just use a online skill calculator, very easy. goodluck!

 

Superheat! Its the best plus you get smith exp

 

i wouldn't do that personally i think it's to expensive, slow and you can just do much more with the money you'll spend on superheating

 

You can bot superheat 15+ hours a day and not get banned

 

I'd disagree, it has a fair bit to offer. While it has marginal profit, it's not overly expensive, and it offers experience for two different skills at once. It may be slower than conventional alching, but I think it's worth looking into at least.

 

For attack training: If your not planning to do MM to get a d scim, use thzaar blade / b neck or dragon cane from 60 - 70 I used dragon cane for mine

 

Attack;

11,450 - Tree Gnome Village
12,175 - Fight Arena
13,750 - Waterfall Quest
18,400 - The Grand Tree
4,825 - Vampire Slayer

Then train at rock crabs using Brine Sabre, then Whip @ 70 attack to 75.

Mage;

Which ever your find sufficient to get it to 81 for pot to TB.

No problem man, they're a fun build however easily get bored as it really easy to pk.. I have 200 KC at the moment and around 18 deaths, considering becoming AGS pure eventually, gonna stay SOTD pure whilst there vital in 50 combat range, once your into the 60s the rushers go hard on you and voiders wreck ya

 

Superheating lost me a very slight amount (sometimes breaking even) when I did steel bars recently. It depends on the price of steel bars which fluctuates a lot based on ban cycles of BF bots (I'm guessing). For me it was definitely worth it simply because of how much smithing xp I got along with superheating mage to a very high level, but if you're just looking to level up and get into pking as quickly as possible, should probably stick with alching.

I can't really see the fun in these, when you're pking it must feel like F2P pk'ing as there isn't much variety.
