Need advice on Range Tank!!!

Hi guys,

Please see below on stats and please comment some feedback letting me know what you think I should do!

70atk,71str,70def,79range,82mage,55pray

Basically I am going to make my account range biased and hoping to get 90range & 80defence.

Now the problem I am face with is that I've spent my money on full armadyl and an arma c bow & 12k cannonballs for slayer. Do I sell the armadyl and buy chins? chin range to 85-90 then go back to slayer? slay now with full arma? I need advice tbh guys, I have a 50-60m bank and am looking to keep my arma cbow. Also maybe buy a blowpipe for slayer and get that fast xp? hit me up with suggestions!

Get 72 slayer and kill wyverns till you get the stats you want.

 

I'd agree with that, until about 85 range. Once you hit that level, it's best to chin, as you'll start to get some serious exp/hr

 

Arma isn't much better than black dhide, so it's not a must if you are just training.

 

Dunworry's knowledgeable on the subject I'd have to agree with him. Chins, when used sufficiently, are great exp

 

If i was you I'd even out my melee stats to 75 str / 75 attk / 75 defence Get 85 - 90 range, grind it through slayer / whatnot get 72 and kill couple of thousand wyverns make enough make to get 94 mage and start Pking

 

It depends on what focus you have for your account. If you're mainly PVP oriented, train range via chinning, forget about slayer and - once you have higher range/mage levels - just do Zulrah whenever you need gold for supplies/gear (camping wyverns with range is not that great of a moneymaking method). If you're PVM oriented/going for account "completeness" as a range tank then definitely train via slayer.

If the former, what I would do is sell the armadyl, get void and salve ammy(ei) and chin. You should have more than enough to get 90 range from 79... but at that point you will still be melee based. You need 94 (141 combined atk+str / 1.5) range to be balanced, further levels from there will make your account range based. Once you max out range, I would also aim for 75 attack so you have access to godswords/sotd later on (keeping max of 73 str so your build stays balanced).

What I decided to do last night (only just see these now) was to sell my arma legs, I bought a blowpipe, filled it up and bought 12k cannonballs and now it's bust out my slayer and get ranged xp while getting good slayer xp.

Currently 80range 67slayer.

Don't chin untill you're 85+ hit to many zeros unless you're going to use salve am (ei) at low level then fury at 85+

 

Thanks for the positive responses guys, I decided to sell my armadyl as I looked at the stat bonus' and there now even much better tbh, So Iv'e got 30k zulrah scales 10k addy darts and 20k cannonballs ready for this slayer and range grind.

 

Don't chin without void and salve ammy otherwise its a waste

 

Id get 75 atk for sotd

 

Chinning will cost a lot of money, I suggest buy a blow pipe with steel darts and do slayer!

 

sell your arma, buy chins for range lvls, and just use void.

 

99 range, 99 def, 75 attack, 99 str. Ags specs ftw

 

Get 99 Defence and 99 range with minimal stats in others and you're good to go

 

Sell the arma if you have to buy chins. Get that 90 range or even 99 if you can afford it. Then I would advise getting higher defence (ideally 90+) then your set.
